Shop Skins request

Can someone in the design department make some normal skins that are not so demonic looking? I mean, I get it, it’s a Diablo game. But why do all the skins have exactly the same demonic theme - fire shooting out of every orifice. Most of the skins makes the players look like they are fighting with Diablo, instead of against him. Which is fine for some players, but how about the rest of us?

What happened to normal, well drawn heroes gear for Warriors, Wizards, Paladins, Barbarians etc. ? It’s a game of fantasy, I get it, but give some of us the option of looking like a true depiction of the characters we play, and not the same repackaged skins with different color schemes.

Seems like what your asking for the game provides…for free.

It’s cosmetics that are just from the (normal) Gear you pick up in game and Salvage.

That seems to be right up the alley of your request.

I on the other hand, don’t mind the sparkling demonic skins OR Angelic ones, …or anything flashy.

And if you really want to spend money on the skins at the shop they DO have skins that are…… bland. Those skins are from the earlier seasons…. shudders….

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and I respect yours, but the skins they are offering lack imagination. Any first year design student could do better. All I’m saying: Nothing in the shop makes me want to spend my money. But if you find the selection appealing, please, do spend yours.

PS Who came up with the Beauty in Sin Skin? That’s horrible. It’s not beauty, but it’s definitely a sin to have design it. :face_vomiting:

I happen to agree, that was terrible. This isn’t S&M kind of game…. yuck.

Maybe the release of season 12 will be better…though I doubt it. I say if more people wanted “normal” looking skins that was better then what the game gives you more people would be clamoring for it.

Beauty/Flashy Sells Normal looking gear Doesn’t, I guess.

Most of the skins in the shop, from the first year are low fantasy. Guess what? No one was buying them, tee-hee.

Also, while right now the sets are really heavy on the vfx, they are not just flame and brimstone.

Also, give us Beauty in sin for druids, already.

Yes! Something with just one or two colors and a single concept in mind.

Now that’s an idea I can support. A more pronounced thong please. Who wouldn’t buy that!

I am totally with you, I don’t like the fact that most shop skins are heavily inspired by demons, undead, snakes, spiders, crows, or other creepy things. The druid’s Plague Rat skin is something horrific… the barbarian’s Tongue Ripper is even worse :expressionless_face:

The fact that even most of the cosmetics for the paladin look totally unfit for the class and what it stands for is a huge disappointment. I hope we’ll see better skins in S12.

I would like to see more heroic-looking armor sets, and while usually special effects don’t bother me too much, they do when they are over-the-top (e.g. flames all over the the top of your character’s head or glowing red tentacles sprouting all around your armor, wth…).

I know some people love stuff that glows, but I personally like plain armor sets that look more realistic. And by “realistic” I don’t mean plain and simple like some of the early sets (e.g. Khamsin Edge, Totem of Ursus, or Blood for Money). I still would like to see sets that look like they are worth the money: well-designed, original, heroic, elaborate but not to the point of looking extravagant.

Totally agree with everything you said, especially this about the Paladin. I was looking forward to see something in the shop that was more appropriate to a paladin and was appalled at the selection they chose to offer. Nothing remotely looked like something a Paladin would wear.

Right? I even wonder if they accidentally mixed up some of the cosmetic designs that were meant for the Warlock at this point, because some of the demonic-looking sets in there would fit that class so much better.

That woukd make a lot of sense. Those skins are much more appropriate for a Warlock.

It would be hilarious and sad at the same time if the Warlock will have some epic holy knight cosmetics… :joy:

It would prove once and for all that who’s behind the D4 cosmetics shop has no clue about what playing a fantasy means.

I want Sorc cosmetics that are sexy, in particular for the female side.

Most of those skins were from previous Diablo’s. That we used to get for free by, you know, playing the game.

Shop skins have been a constant dissapointment for me (and others i know)

Much too high fantasy in an ugly way. The sorceror has been awful. Large awful helms, too much shiny everything.

I want a dark cloaked mystical type option, flowing robes, simple yet powerful.

Barbarian has been ok.

but sorc, necro, druid, rogue (except a few) just not to my liking.

I play a lot of sorc, seems to be a challenge to find armor that actually covers a practical amount of skin. The classic Jaina midriff for the Jaina/sorc skin? I get it in the context that Jaina is a classic WoW character, thats just been her clothes since forever, she isnt wearing armor, etc.

But the skins that imply its heavy armor, yet leaves thighs, belly, and the top of the chest completely exposed? I get that a couple of 14 year olds work in the art department and they are actually showing restraint by still covering more than 20% of the body, but geez.

You can make skimpy, yet tasteful, cosmetics. And please also dial down the skulls, spikes, and horns.

And people Still have those skins/can wear them now…….. so….

Totally agree. 95% of the skin themes are total trash. Which is too bad. The artists are obviously world-class and graphics are very detailed, but the art direction is just not for me.

As said, a lot of the themes make us look like the bad guy, not the hero. There’s way too many drapes and dresses and kilts and capes. Overall, the skins are too bulky and too themey. I get it, the theme of the kit is spiders. I don’t need spiders worked into every square inch of the skin.

I’d like to see more streamlined, thinner profile, hero-themed sets devoid of chotskis (such as tools, books, skulls, vials, etc.), drapes, tassels, kilts, and capes.

Sorcerer has sets that literally are straps on breasts , where you almost see the nips on female.

Idk how is that not sexy enough, lol.

No one will buy that,sorry.

Okay,not no one.You and 10 other people .

There is a reason why all cosmetics are as complex and heavy in detail as they are.
