Shockwave > Weapon

I’m level 61 and still using my 501+20 Weapon. I can easily double my raw damage but it cost too much.

Damn that shockwave is very rare. Funny the Unique is less rare than shockwave as I found only one at the beginning of this druid. ( I think of starting a new Druid only to get shockwave )

  • 3 Vasily’s Prayer
  • 2 Hunter’s Zenith
  • 1 Insatiable Fury
  • 1 The Butcher’s Cleaver

I easily roll over 64 NM, everything die quickly ( mobs one shotted ). Having a better weapon will only make the Boss die in less than 30sec.

Maybe when I reach Ancestral weapon the power difference in damage will make a clear difference but I think it will not.

Shockwave may actually be bugged. This is an on-going issue for most (if not all) druids tbf.
Shockwave is rarer than actual Uniques, it would be a blessing for Shockwave to be classified as a Unique because I’d honestly believe we’d see it drop a little more often, right now it’s honestly too rare.

i believe it I’ve gotten 3 temest roars in the last 2 days . but zero shock wave aspect.

My druid is level 86 and has had I think 6 drop so far. Two 92s, two 72s and two 64s. Just keep plugging along. It will drop eventually.

It’s not bugged. I’ve gotten 8-9 of them since level one. There’s no codex version so it’s rarer than the run of the mill generic stuff, but it’s just RNG. I got at least two off totem gambling when I upped my weapons and needed them. And of course half of them were so crap they weren’t worth using except in emergency of not having one.

Just got

  • ‘Frostburn’ I think it’s a Sorc Gloves.
  • Mad Wolf’s Glee

Sure I keep fate of seeing it eventually. I just kill the elite boss in helltide ( sorry can’t remember is name Raxx something ) +10 level above me he was 72. Take a while with the help of a Necro but I tank it.

I can do +8 NM level above me and Shockwave Pulverize obliterate everything. I can’t wait to see it on an Ancestral weapon ( sure the ancestral weapon will drop before Shockwave). I guess I can try capstone at level 64.

Can shockwave be found on any item? Or can you only find it on certain pieces of gear?

It share the Offensive aspect slot

  • Necklace
  • Weapon
  • Glove
  • Ring

Best chance I think it’s on the weapon as they only have pool for offensive aspect if I’m not wrong. As necklace and ring have a bigger pool of aspect.

The only thing it’s a Uber Aspect

I was killing that guy with Pulv and it always took a while. Switched to Werenado and he down in 10-15 seconds. I couldn’t believe how much faster kill speeds are between the builds. I felt a little safer as a bear, but I’m softcore so I don’t really care if I die anyway.

Can I ask your level difference with him when you encounter him with Pulv and Werenado

  • 16 points in Pulverize skills help greatly. I didn’t follow any guide I make my own build.
  • 452.2% Overpower damage
is more suited for Pulverize, I will need to change all my item to be on par with a werenado

Only question I’m not sure is if ‘slow’ is considered a crowd control effect, as I have + damage against slow and + damage against CC ennemie

I was in the same boat. I leveled up as Pulverize and didn’t even see the damn Shockwave aspect drop until level 83. I then got a weapon that had a listed +189 attack power that I couldn’t even use because I didn’t have a second Shockwave. So it sat in the bank for another level.

Besides that, my first aspect rolled a 196% damage, while the second was only 174%. So that weapon was still an upgrade, just nowhere near as much as it could have been.

Also, I ignore the overpower affix entirely. It’s fine that you can get Pulverize to do it, but the rate at which it happens is so slow as to be a non-factor when deciding what affixes to use for general clearing. The only time I would even bother with it is if I knew I was going up against a boss that had no adds. In that case, just switch to a different weapon if you can that focuses on either healthy, or overpower.

Staves are generally much better for Pulverize for going up to 100. It just depends though. If you have a really great axe that has crazy affixes, then you’ll be able to one-shot trash more consistently, and it will also help more on a boss.

And why do people constantly debate whether or not slow is a form of CC? It’s pretty obvious that it absolutely is. Just use the Umbral aspect, then use Debilitating Roar with the slow version. Pulverize itself (with Shockwave) will fill up your spirit bulb continually using Umbral, because it’s slowing enemies.

If you are only asking if you get a boost from both slow and crowd control at the same time…yes, you do.

Slow is indeed a crowd control effect. I literally killed Karaxx, or whatever, with Pulv one day and with nado the next. So I wasn’t more than a level different at best. And my Nado build was pretty bland the first day. I had the aspects but that were some codex and on non upgraded and rerolled gear at that time.

When I was Pulv I thought it was great. I had no trouble with anything and smashed through NM dungeons with mobs 20+ levels higher. Now I do it 30-40% faster with just a Maxroll werenado build that still short on important stats like lucky hit. I’m level 78 now on this guy.

Just wanted to say that I am finding a ton of shockwave aspects doing NM dungeons in the 40s. Got a 96, two 92s, two 72s, and a bunch of 64s.
