Something seems off about the quests given by Shob’ha (I am currently on A Sliver of Light). Throughout the entire quest chain (or maybe it’s just my time in the area) I keep seeing an invisible speaker say things, e.g.
says: Hurry! Please!
says: No... (dying breath)
Earlier in the quest chain, during A Deepening Shadow, I had issues finding Barret. It turned out that I was supposed to see a… Corrupted Deer, I think, and it was meant to lead me to where Barret was; but the first time I went to the location, there was no deer.
Finally, the entirety of A Sliver of Light is oddly… silent. I pick up my tree friend, and there’s nothing that tells me why I need to go to the 3 locations on the map, or what I am supposed to do there. It’s not difficult to figure out (go to these places, kill the attackers), but it stands out as perhaps the only quest in the game that doesn’t have this kind of instructions.
EDIT: Upon returning to Shob’ha to turn in A Sliver of Light, I got another anonymous message (" says: We’re not going to make it!"). Shob’ha’s words when turning the quest in also suggest that something was supposed to happen to Mochrann, but while I did see it become more and more red, I didn’t see it die or turn aggressive to me. All in all the entire quest chain feels oddly unpolished and stands out against all the rest of the polish in the game.
