I love shields for many reasons. I love them for cosmetic purposes. I love shield skills (Bashing, Throwing, etc…) I love the way they make me feel safe and powerful. As a shield guy I can’t for the life of me figure out how they missed the boat on this iconic item, not only for ARPG’s but for fantasy itself, saddens me. Bring on the shields Blizzard!
Necros have shields, some are quite fancy, but there are no shield skills in the game, perhaps the next class they come out with will have shield abilities, who knows.

The 10% DPS loss from using a shield just rubs me the wrong way. I slap the +30% skeleton dmg aspect on a 2h, give me +60% skeleton dmg
Yeah, I think shields should have been the one weapon slot that was shared across all classes.
