Sharing my opinion from a D2, D3 veteran

Hi all,

I would like to share feedback rapido presto (quick read)

TDLR: I don’t want a D3 reskin with an end game of an infinity loop of vault level increase which is empty of meaning/purpose. The end of the game should be what it was from the beginning Diablo before the season end game was uber Lilith and the new uber boss introduced with every new season should be the real end game.

TDLR: Uber bosses should remain a challenge and power creep better control. (
I think we don’t encounter enough power walls) I also believe leveling should be turned down a bit. I shouldn’t take 3 days to turn level 100.

Please don’t turn D4 into Borderlands I don’t want to see a shower of Legends items every time I kill an elite pack. (Give value to legendary and unique). Unique should have UNIQUE animation and should feel like a UNIQUE not just increase core skill by x + y. They should have COOL modified.

Seasonal themes should be consistent with the lore of the game and make sense. Season 3 was interesting but scorpion robot really? The game has a lot of lore please have some respect for it.

Please don’t bring back the paladin or a paladin reskin (crusader). D2 I play barbarian, sorc, Nercro… D3 I played a Monk because I didn’t want to play the same old class… D4 I play a Rogue because I didn’t want to play the same old class again that has 0 evolution over the franchise that is shameless. Please think outside the box and use a little imagination for the upcoming class.

I understand that the concept of the game is aimed at the greatest audience. But please don’t take the players for people denuded of intelligence. Bring back a certain level of difficulty, casual players are the first to jump ship, are you sure you want to focus on this category of player?

Thank you for reading have a nice day

They could cater to the 1%…and get 1% of the sales.

Say what you want about Blizzard and Diablo 4, and everyone has, but they didn’t just accidentally sell millions of copies. They cater to a broader audience because, even though many of them may only play a few hours a season, if you put a shiny in front of their face the next season they come back just as quickly.

Back in the days of the game design nephalem who were endowed with the power of common sense, there were actual difficulty levels for this very purpose.

There are more kinds of players, right now the Damage/Speed-motivated ones are the majority but not all

We have to find a way to do real suggestion of HOW to improve the problems in the game without necessarily the majority of players “tanking” much

Here’s the thing:

1 - In order to deal with powercreep - all that we should say is whenever something new is introduced - don’t “pile up” it on things that were already stronger. Even more so - a very simple concrete example and a simple fix right now available => do not limit the GA rolls for Legendaries and Uniques only, have other items roll them as well. (No undeserved disadvantages, legendaries already have one extra affix so they already superior, no need to hendicap further)

2 - In order to deal with “streamlined gameplay” no stops - we should suggest that Rares should be useful ON OCCASION (and that be notable by a Yellow Beam or whatever), have a small chance for the Rare to be “bountiful” i.e. have a 3rd affix rolled on it - will work both ways, for those that want to “min-max” some assets for their builds, as well as those that have gameplay style “streamlined” and don’t want to “stop and check” (and read) stuff
