Share diablo 4 on Ps5

Hello, i have a quick question. Does someone know if i buy the deluxe version of the game on my console, if i can share it like other games. So another account on another playstation can play it too ?
It works for every game but im really not sure about diablo 4 with the early access.
It worked for hogwarts legacy there was also early access and both consoles and both accounts had it.

First of all, thanks for your answer. I personally think it works too, but i have read from some people that it works and some said it doesnt work cause the game itself is connected to 1 battlenet account.

That would be extremely odd and would be the only company that does that for consoles. Like for pc I get it we’ve had cd keys for years. Plus how would that work for non digital editions wouldn’t that render the disc useless if it can only activate once?

Idk if that’s the case then I guess blizzard wins? lol

Thank you very much for the help, it would surprise me too if it doesnt work, guess i have to wait till the 2nd and see if it works

Best of luck man hoping it works for you

If you’re asking whether they can play as themselves without an account, then almost certainly not. I’d fully expect a two tiered check here.

First, the PlayStation check to make sure you’re on a console with the main owner, or the account having bought it.

Two, the player having a Diablo 4 account. And this would also prevent a person from joining early access if they did not buy the deluxe/ultimate version.

But if you just did PlayStation share, where they could play as you remotely, I’m guessing that would work.

It works but they still have to make a bnet account linked to their PlayStation user. If they have already played previous Diablo games on ps4/5 it should already be setup so all they have to do is download the game from the purchaser account.

Just got this from support:
Bonuses and the Early Access are account specific, that wouldn’t be shared unfortunately.
Early Access would be specific to the Playstation account that placed the order, and the Bonuses would be specific to the Playstation-Battlenet account.

I’m on PS5. I bought the ultimate version logged in created my 1st character started the game, then my girlfriend logged in and created her character. We are both playing at the moment. Only 1 game was purchased and it was my account like I said. So it is possible to local share paly.

I am currently faced with the “license” error. Trying to play a game that was purchased and downloaded by my father. The other games work fine, but this one seems to be picking on me because I didn’t pay up. Hopefully this issue goes away when people who legitimately bought the game with this error are fixed up.

I should clarify that I am running a PS4, so there may be an isolating factor.
Update: I was able to play as his Player 2, so at least I can progress while he is gaming, but it is still limiting.

I find this to be quite upsetting. I paid for 2 copies of the Digital Deluxe edition. One for PS and one for PC. I did this so that I could play with my two sons. We actively installed the game on both consoles. Waited on the countdown. Logged in to find out that my PS account (that is linked to my battle.net) and my Battle.net account were the only ones that could access the early access. This is absolutely ridiculous. Nowhere was it specified that the Early access would be tied to the Battle.net account on the PS store. This is a failure and a deceptive stipulation. I’m considering refunding both at this point.

Did you manage to solve the problem, guys? Some people on Reddit wrote they solve “invalid license” problem and have accessed the game while sharing.

I bought this on the Xbox and ps5 so i could play together with my partner on different screens, but I’m currently unable to thanks to this poorly done coding. The game license is supposed to be on the console, not floating off on blizzard servers. Going to do the limited same screen playing for now, but pissed that i paid for the game twice for no reason now.

If you log in with the different PSN account (which didn’t own the game) tied to different Bnet on the same console with game installed, does it works? Can someone try it?

how about the battle pass, is it shared also? man I wished I knew before buying it on my primary account. I should have bought it with my playing PSN account

Pretty much the exact same situation except PS4 and PC. The early access being tied to the Battle.net (when it WAS NOT stated clearly on the console store) is ridiculous. Like why would I pay $180 to log on to PC, then get booted off when I log on to PS4?!?

I’ve tried this. Bought it on account B (where I buy all my games) to play on account A (where I play all my games, has PS Plus and save files). It always comes up with invalid license on account A. But if I try on B then it comes up with the screen that asks me to link a Battle net account, which I definitely don’t want to do. 100% will not be playing on account B. I’d have to pay for PS Plus to play online and also make a new battle net account? No thanks.

As I see, many people at this moment getting this “invalid license” error, doesn’t matter if they sharing or not.
Try those solutions with downloading free game from PS Store or launch DIV later (may be Blizzard will fix it).
And If you manage to log in successfully, leave a comment here, please.
