Do NOT TP back to town, you will lose all of your shards. I started to TP back to town, got a warning, and before I could do anything, the TP had finished (it took a split second to TP to town the fastest it EVER has been lol). Had just taken down the big boss, so lost a crap load of shards.
Was NOT impressed.
Firstly Blizzard, you should be telling players, in game, what these shards do with a tooltip popup. You should also be telling people how to turn them into Red dust. And you should also be telling people that TP’ing back to town will force you to lose ALL of your collected shards.
Absolutely the worst game design I have ever seen in a game in 25+ years of gaming.
Your D4 UI sucks. Your game balancing sucks. Itemisation in D4 is poor. Bosses are OP AF.
new items at vendors? Instead of updating once per hour, it should be every 10 minutes, and each town should be separate from the other towns. As it stands, seeing new items is really, really bad from a vendors perspective.
The game has crashed 6 times on me now, in a week’s worth of play. Add to this, the weird skills bug (skills not active and working), which has apparently been fixed with the latest patch update. It is a very unstable game.
Did you perhaps take a leaf out of PoE with regards to an unbalanced game, OP AF bosses and poor game stability? At least PoE explains things to you in game via tooltip popups.
D4’s only real asset at the moment is the voice acting and graphics.

ah I see the pro Blizzard trolls are here. Let’s see if Blizzard doesn’t anything about your post (personal attack/trolling).

Ummm. They do tell you, did you not find the quest guy at one of the fields who gives you the run down.
OP bosses? What OP bosses.
I ran from start campaign to finish campaign on tier 2. On a Druid. Didn’t get my class thingy till lv35 yawwwwwn.
Here’s a silver spoon, seems you need it for games.

Yes… it’s designed that way so people cant quickly teleport in and hide in town.
If I recall they also drop on a logout/dc

+1 to in game crashes.
This game has crashed on me about 6 times… not extremely high, but about 6x higher than any other console game Ive played. Alot of the time i was just walking and it freezes.

Lucky you. Bethesda games can sometimes crash 6 times in 15 minutes. Looking at you Fallout 4…looking at you…
Which is something you are warned about if you bothered to read lol.

This is happening for me too.
I would imagine the items taking an hour to refresh is so that if someone were to find something they want, they could potentially have time to go farm enough gold to get it

Oddly, I didn’t have a problem with fallout 4 crashing. I had problems with quests being broken (several of them). I gave up on the game.
I was not warned, until I actually TP’d to town and as I was trying to google what seed shards were, that split second meant I didn’t have time to cancel the TP and lost like 4k shards. When I got to the town (Gae something from memory), I got a warning about shards etc. But en route, going through the shard area, no warnings. None. Nada. Zero. Nilch. Is that easy enough for you to comprehend?
I don’t need a silver spoon thank you. I just need the game to be properly designed and not leaving users guessing WTH!
Nilcar as a starter. Unless you are playing a build, he’s impossible to take down. You shouldn’t have to be playing a build in order to play a game. That’s a very narrow design development path with little variety and not a good game design imho. I have since switched to ice shards build and doing much better, but I frequently hit a wall when my weapon and source aren’t high enough level for the mlvl.
The items are like 50k. I can get 50k gold easily in under 5 minutes. That’s a poor excuse.
That one’s a stronghold boss. He’s supposed to be difficult. I’ve beaten him in the beta and during server slam. Beta was 3 manned with one of us three being lv13.
And yes, WTH moments are always around. Sometimes it’s a good thing for players to learn the hard way. You lost 2k/4K seeds of hatred, how sad, have some tissues, go again. Try hell tide, you die, you lose 50% of the currency you pick up in it. Hell tide finishes. You lose ALL of the unspent currency.
So yes. You do need a silver spoon. And no. You don’t need a dedicated build for bosses. It’s called pay attention to mechanics and do the mechanics.
Not so. Higher in level you go, the more expensive the items become. I’ve seen some range from 300k to 700k. Try again.
I stand by my assessment that a dedicated builid is needed with this game. A non dedicated build doesn’t do enough damage and with only 5 health potions (all of which are gone before Nilcar reaches his final phase of the battle), you’re screwed. Many others have complained about unbalanced bosses and terrible boss mechanics.
I haven’t completed the campaign, so cannot get to nightmare difficulty to try out helltide events.
WTH moments should never happen. That’s just bad game design.
And no, to reiterate, I do not need a silver spoon. I need the game to be better balanced and properly tell players about in game designs and features. D4 does NOT do this.
That’s fine. And in that case, the respawn rate for items should be geared to the character being played by the human player and the level that they are at. This is a direct screw up caused by trying to force single player into MMO style game mechanics. Solo players did NOT want this in D4. We asked for true solo. Blizzard once again gave us the finger and flipped the bird at us in their infinite wisdom.
D4 is badly broken in so many aspects it isn’t funny. A lot of players are saying this, surely we can’t all be wrong.
I doubt a “lot” are saying that in the overall user base, just the whiners here. Any forum is usually mostly populated with butt hurt complainers.

If you want to jump on the meta train, that’s on you bud. I stand by the not requiring a dedicated build. Do a boss often enough and you don’t burn potions. If you’re burning potions, that’s a YOU problem, not a game problem.
World bosses- ashava: I can go through that entire fight, no potions. Wandering death: sometimes have to pop a potion. Avarice: sometimes have to pop a potion. Why? Mechanics. Pay attention and you learn. Don’t pay attention= floor queen.
Same deal with the stronghold bosses- pay attention, learn their mechanics, easy enough to deal with. Hells, hardest stronghold I had was when I accidentally soloed one. Still had 3 potions by the end once I figured out the mechanics mid fight.
But hey, I’ll tell ya a secret. You can run the best meta build on the net, and when it’s nerfed, you’re going to wonder why it’s trash. You can run the best meta build and not have the gear for it= why is it trash? Because you don’t have the gear.
Dedicated builds, are meta builds. They’re for players who DONT want to put any thought into how they’re going to play. Suprise, even a mega build will be trash when you…. Don’t pay attention!
So I’ll leave this here as it is. We can agree to disagree.

You can choose the town in the PvP area on the map - you don’t lose them going there. It isn’t the default when you use town portal in that area to prevent people from using it to escape other players.
The PvP town has everything you need (except an obols vendor), including a stash.
What consoles are people playing on where it’s crashing so much ? I’m on Series X and it’s been 100% solid the entire time to lvl 53.
I’m on PS5 and hadn’t had any real issues until 2 days ago. Now the game freezes when I open anything from the map to inventory. I saw PC and XB people saying they have the same issue so it seems like it’s everywhere and only recently became a big problem. Put me off the game I almost just want to delete it. Was great before but after this I don’t know that I would even recommend the game. Its a shame
Try a hard restart on your console. Mine was getting really framey and that resolved it.

PS4. I rarely get crashes from D3. PoE crashes all the time. No other game crashes.
