So after hearing about the first Shako dropping in the korean servers the lvl req is 100? whats the purpose of hunting for end game loot at lvl 100? if 100 is the pinnacle and once completed most players would make another there is no point to carry on after hitting 100 unless its to help out your friends in lower tiers.
The items themselves should be unlocked right after you hit tier 4 make more variables on them so they arent so powerful early game or something. it doesnt make any sense. im honestly probably going to quit the game because of this. its fun playing and grinding but if you have to grind especially at 100 theres no point just my opinion.
For right now, the only real reasons are to kill Uber Lilith and to push nightmare dungeons. Although lots of people just like to max their character as far as they can for its own sake. Some few people might want to do it for PvP.
Use that character to farm for other characters, I’m guessing.
Level 100 is when the game begins.
Well, that is a final carrot. But damn, I am already stuffed up.
The shako that was dropped was level 100 requirement because that player is probably lvl 100.
Now I can’t say this for certain as I have not seen who dropped it, but the uniques I am dropping are lvl required the level I am when I dropped them. At least that has been my experience so far.
Uniques ilvl requirement are the same level as the player when it drops. The shako you are referring to is literally the level of the player which was 98…
It says level 98 required in the korean screenshot. Likely has to do with how high a level he was when he found it. It can be a lower level requirement if found in lower tiers. I believe the devs talked about this in the Rhykker stream.
so confirmed to be in and just super rare.
well that settles it.
I don’t think this will happen. Feel like it will only drop for 90-95+ doing certain content.
Also likely the reason why we didn’t see one lower level randomly and why only 1 has dropped as most players didn’t make the requirement yet.
doesn’t really work since the items level req is scaled to the character that found it, this actually kind of ruins the gear hunting and hoarding aspect for me now that i think about it.
What’s the point of having backup gear for my HC characters if they cant use it until they would already be high enough to have found their own gear.
Meh
I’m talking about using that character who got the drop, to farm more efficiently for alts, I mean it is Diablo, I’d be sharing good drops I get from my main to my alts. With how piss easy boosting is, having a full set of gear ready for your alt once they cap out would be nice.
But I do see what you’re saying*
This guy was lvl 98 Druid. So idk exactly what lvl do you need for shako but we probably can confirm that it has your level req when it drops.
it was level req 98 on high nightmare dungeons iirc. there’s plenty of point to farm after 100, PvP, echo of lilith, even higher nightmare dungeons (mobs go beyond level 100), and so on.
I really dont like how items have the level requirements scaled to the level they are found at. Can’t even pass it to another character to utilise it early.
Whats the +4 suppose to do when you are already lv 98. You might as well salvage it after taking a screenshot. This is so stupid
yeaa, i dont know about the level requirement. Unless it gets better stats at higher level requirement. If it doesnt then what is the point? Just means the later you find it the less use of it youre gonna get when making a new character.
Cool thing about something like Headhunter or Mageblood in PoE is that while they are omega chase items, they also have a pretty low level requirement so when you make a new character they can be put on before youre done with the campaign even.
Yeah a bit of an oversight with that. Maybe they’ll add some enchantment effect to lower item level requirements. Can farm to make it useful to an alt. Might actually be good additional content.
It ends for 99.99% of players
Maybe a hot take, but now that I know how the game works, shako doesn’t seem all that good anymore. I mean it’s good, but not over the top good. It would be very good if it was something you could use on alts, since it would be so versatile with an across the board +4 skill level. But I can get plenty of + skill levels on the skills, and even passives I need. Shako wouldn’t be that much more of an advantage. If the +4 covered passives too… then yes, it would be super gg. But I don’t know… .it’s good but not over the top good like I thought it was initially.
You’d prefer there be no upgrades to hunt for in the very last levels? These type of pinnacle/ultimate items seem like a good thing in terms of having some tiny possibility of an upgrade at max level, otherwise you just retire the character and move on.
