apparently someone data mined this and its 1 in 800,000 uniques per player. So each time a unique drops for you, theres a 1 in 800,000 chance it’ll be one of the epic 6 shakos.
drink that in… this is the way.

Source: trust me bro
It has to be from a level 85+ monster.
You can’t datamine a server side drop rate from the client.
thats pretty awesome, i hope you are right, thats about where it should be.
I think this is wrong. That datamine is either misunderstood or there’s a bug.
Because there are other items that are supposed to be 1 in 400,000 like raiment.
There are 0 grandfathers
There are not only 2 raiments, there are thousands of them.
So this is incorrect.
There’s over half a billion hours played at this point and 0 grandfathers I believe? This is the most hours played that this game will ever have. There’s either a bug on the drop rates or it’s flat out intended to be impossible to obtain ever in anyone’s lifetime.
People who try to relate these as ‘super rare like d2 and poe items’. This isn’t even on the same solar system. Those ‘super rare drops’ in those games are all looted within less than 24-48 hrs of every league by players.
People who related to this lottery. This is like winning the lottery millions of times in a row before getting one. The lottery is only rolled a few times before you get a winner. We’ve now killed billions of mobs that are loot capable, aka, BILLIONS of lottery rolls with 0 drops of this sword.
It’s either bugged or the core design of this item is for the casuals who can’t do math to think they are going to ‘target farm’ it by killing spiders. Sorry bro, but you’re not going to live millions of hours, let alone play d4 for hundreds of millions of hours.
Quite frankly, they shouldn’t have even wasted the development effort on these items. Otherwise, they’re going to make them obtainable in WT5/Season 1.
I don’t think you know what the word shako means. It’s not slang for an ultra rare or anything, it’s a type of hat. Harlequins crest in d2 was a unique shako. So the 6 ultra rares aren’t shako’s. Also I don’t think this is data-mineable information.
Like d2 then basically
Who came up with that dumb name? I thought it was Shaco from league of legends
keep it low! 1 for every 5-10k player. lol
people who cant spell harlequins probadly. and since its the only unique shako in diablo2 people kept calling it shako
I wish people would stop saying there are 0 of blah item. How do you know? Because no one out of the super small minority of players that post online have said they got it?
If you played POE and D4 the same amount of time given the drop rates you’d find well over 1000 mirrors in POE before finding one of these uniques. It shouldn’t be difficult to figure out that is a problem.
That drop rate is more laughable than the Big Love Rocket and Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent on WoW.
Math time using your assumptions. so I can do the calculation:
At level 85, how often does a unique drop for a given character on average?
Every second? Every minute? Every 15 minutes? Once per hour? Once per 5 hours?
it should depend on your ability to find elites that are over level 85 and how long it takes you to kill them, but uniques should be obscenely rare.
Dont compare rarity with wow ever again please. If you talk about rar items in wow there are still atleast 1% of the playerbase who own them. You can compare these 6 “super uniques” to something like tyraels might in D2
How frequent time wise an average? A guesstimate is fine.
apparently someone data mined this and its 1 in 800,000 uniques per player.
If someone claims to have datamined it, they’re full of it. It’s obviously on the server-side.
So, the only way they could have “datamined” it is if they had access to Blizzard’s server code, and then it’s just a leak rather than a datamine.
If it takes 5 minutes per unique which is probably pretty fast at 1:800,000 you’d have to play 24 hours a day for 7.5 years in order to find one. Think about that for a min.
These are worse than anything on D2; I found most of those on closed Bnet and could trade for anything I didn’t have. D4’s drop rates for these 6 just seems sadistic.
