Shadow Nerf on Tal’Rasha?

Yesterday I could use an ability like Spark with the Fireball and Frost Bolt Enchantments and receive all 3 stacks of increased damage but as soon as I logged in today, no matter what configuration I use I only get 2 stacks.

This is because you need to deal damage to receive the bonus. If you have a source of frost damage, you’ll get your 3rd stack.

I’m using the enchant. No, it doesn’t cause damage but why did it work all day yesterday and now suddenly not? I literally changed nothing.

Probably because, like everything, it was implemented half baked and triggered off of skill schools instead of damage types.

I think it is on damage types - I use teleport, ice shards, and flame shield and can get 3 stacks, but every once in awhile if I’m blasting through elites or something, I’ll get a 4th stack added. I think this is because I have the shared CC malignant heart on and something is reflecting back, technically dealing damage.

Frost bolt entchantment doesn’t do ice dmg, and you need to do “direct damage” to trigger it.

So it is bug fix.

Its probably the “life” heart. I did equip it today and the first hit that consumes health counts as one element, making me hit 4 stacks… maybe blood?

I also had Fire Bolt and Frost Bolt enchants with Spark and CL as my damage skills. I figured out what was letting me reach 3 stacks. The horse dismount ability does the cold damage. The duration of all the stacks get refreshed when you do any cold/fire/lightning damage. So as long as I keep hitting stuff after using the dismount skill, I can maintain 3 stacks.

I’ve been using teleport to trigger the third stack for lightning on an ice shard variant build. Frost nova/firebolt enchant for their respective elements. “Life” is giving you a 4th stack though? That’s kind of awesome, I’ll have to try it out XD

weird thing happened while grouped with a rogue, i got to 4 stacks today ??? they said they imbued there weapons with poison ?? is like sorc enchant were its party wide ??? but i for sure had 4 stacks of tal rash running in a party today
