does shadow clone do 80% of my total damage each time I attack? E.g. I stack 3 combo points on penetrate and do 100k. Would he do 80k? Or is it 80% of the non-combo point equivalent?

Also interested in this as I am using flickerstep to reduce cooldown on it and imitated imbuements aspect/Grasp of Shadow. I know Ultimate Skill damage does NOT increase shadow clone damage, only physical and Crit damage.
Some people have tested shadow clone and found it to do no damage. I suggest testing this yourself before committing to a full build just to make sure.
I’m curious about this as well, I’m in the middle of theorycrafting a pretty cool Shadow Clone build but it hinges on a few things that if they don’t work will really suck.
For example do any modifiers to skills from Uniques or Aspects apply to the clone when they copy your skills, or are they cast as the baseline version? This is particularly important for Flurry and/or TB, and absolutely 100% vital for the utter jank I want to unleash with Barrage/Rapid Fire.
There’s also the 80% question that was asked, along with combo points modifier (good to know about the Ultimate skill thing)
I suppose the last thing would be with regards to Andariel’s Visage. I don’t have one not do I expect to find one, but I am curious for anyone who does have it if the Clone will also lifesteal and heal you.
did some basic testing and most (x) multipliers don’t work and to top it off. combo points don’t affect their damage. see xarrio’s video on youtube for more explanation. Best to drop it at this stage.

Well that completely killed my desire to do a shadow clone build then.
Damn it. I was really really hoping the bug with Tibault’s Will + Condemnation would allow the clone to also fire off 20+ shots which would have been hilarious with the Blood Rune from AoZ.
Damn it all. It’s such a cool Ultimate too, why can’t they make it worth using 
i actually had the same idea and did it from lvl 1-80, equiped my tibaults and flickerstep then noticed big numbers weren’t being done by the clones… tested it and then saw xarrio’s video as confirmation… sad really.

My shadow clone does more damage than I do just with grasp of shadows on.
If I use combo points then I do more damage. It still does a lot of damage and can spread imbuements, works in NM100 for me anyway.
so what damage range is it doing?
My pen shot without combo points in field of hatred hit an enemy for 20k, my shadow clone hit another enemy next to him for 28k.
This was without combo points at lvl 80 or so. I have it saved so I could see the damage difference. I was using the aspect to give shadow clone 15% damage and grasp of shadow at 72% more damage.
i see, so he does max damage of 28k? coz when you use tibult’s will . your pen shot would be doing in the 500k to 1mil, but your shadow clone would be stuck doing 28k damage range. I think that’s the problem most ppl complain about. better off using a different skill that would scale with your main damage dealer.
Yeah it did 28k damage twenty levels ago. The point is it does more damage than me unless I use combo points etc.
Only works well with barrage and ranged skill for it to do decent additional damage, spreading imbuements is also nice.
