For both beta and and server slam, the games was forcefully uninstalled. Ok, I don’t mind. But. At the end of the process, there was an elevation invite. If you couldn’t or wouldn’t accept it, or the PC would just update windows over night, then the resistery isn’t properly cleaned and the OS still considers the program is installed although the files were deleted. And of course the battlenet installer will consider its job done and you can’t re-uninstall.
This is extremely annoying.
Any way to solve this?
Hrm? You had to manually uninstall in both cases. I think you are mixing up something.
I quit the game when the server slam was up. The next morning I got an elevation invite straight out of screen sleep and clicked no. Game was uninstalled. I’m pretty sure I didn’t uninstall anything manually.
i manually uninstalled both times.
i was quick with it tho
If you uninstall BattleNet itself, does the registry update? That should wipe all sub-processes tied to it in the registry.
No it wasnt. I don’t know what you are talking about
the server slam was uninstalled from my pc and i did not do it myself. its still shows in the add/remove apps but if you try to uninstall it then an error pops up and the error says its usually because the files that are trying to be uninstalled are already gone or moved.
i did find left over traces after the uninstall.
files in the mydocuments and a diablo4-serverslam folder on c:
looked fine to just delete them. wish the launcher did it but oh well.
I uninstalled all my betas manually.
My beta auto-converted to Server Slam, then I uninstalled it myself.
