Like MMOs, please warn users at least 5 minutes in advance on the top of the screen like your Helltides warning (but in a different colour of couse) as an ongoing loop every 10 seconds…
Emergency maintenance fine, still.
That would be high-class, and not like ruffians with what I’ve seen lol

I still stand on my suggestion since they want to go the MMO way, to have kind of a loop on top warning us 
PEZ on XXX: Hi all - We are seeing the reports of console players running into licensing issues over the last hour. We have a fix for this that is rolling out to all players. Once this is out, you will need to restart your game on console and you shouldn’t run into this issue.
I will update once this hits all users. Expecting 30-45 mins at most.

They normally have a TAG saying that on battle.net.
There was a 5-minute warning. You just happened only to see the 30-second one.

I was in the middle of that crappy dark cave Stronghold too. Luckily, I just managed to kill the boss and convert the area before the servers dropped. I probably had 10 seconds left. T_T

bad timing, i was at the end of a very grindy pit 33 lol.
how long the servers going to be down for?
Is there a post somewhere saying why they’re shutting down, and how long they anticipate the downtime to be? The dev tracker has nothing. And I’m not checking twitter.

Can we get more than 5 minutes warning for these kind of shutdowns? Unless the server room is on fire a 15 minute warning could surely be implemented to lessen the incredible frustration from losing progress.

I was lucky enough to see the 10 second warning…We get half the screen taken up to warn us that our portal will despawn if we leave town, but a server shut down is in 6pt font in the middle of the screen for 1 second.

I just logged back in after it kicked me to the character screen

timer ended and I am still in game. Nothing happened lol
The server shut down the moment I crushed the last Boss of the expansion, as it breath its last breath. Now I have to do everything back from the last point of save which is outside of the lake. Traverse everything again.

at 5 mins it should be a persistent message on screen that does not go away till the server shuts down.

I was actually hoping for a patch but it seems like it was just a short server reset.
