Many of us just gave up caring about the game.
I pre-ordered and played the server slams and betas with no connectivity issues. None. 8 hour sessions with no crashes, disconnects, or rubber banding. The early access last June… wow, has it really been a year… went great… then came the “general release” date with a massive update and the game went to hell (and not in the fun way). Crashes, disconnects, rubber banding… the game was a joke. 5 minutes of playing could easily result in a disconnect. I started avoiding parts of the game, turned off features, lowered graphic quality, avoided using town portal, etc. Limited myself to 30 minutes of play time before exiting and restarting… and it still crashed and burned. Same machine, same ISP, that had worked flawlessly became unusable. I carefully recorded all the failures, logged multiple detailed bug reports, and… it never got better. Hell, if often got worse. By the time season 3 rolled around and I DC’d before getting out of the opening cave I was done. I check the forum from time to time to see if a “They finally fixed the stability!” post shows up but it’s the same old, same old. I’m glad there are people that can play and enjoy the game. But I can’t and Blizzard doesn’t seem to care about me or many others.
