A little over a year ago I quit playing Diablo 4 due to all of the connection issues and crashes. NOT my computer and most certainly NOT my connection as I have benched both. So when I heard about all of the positive changes I decided to give it another shot. Worked fantastic for about two months and now I am having problems with five steps forward and two steps involuntarily back not to mention freeze ups right in the middle of crowds or boss fights. My new computer is top of the line and far exceeds the recommended system requirements by miles. I have checked with our local provider and they sent someone out to check our connection saying there was no problems whatsoever. So I guess I am asking where this leaves me? Inquiring minds want to know.
This is the problem with online only games. Geography can ruin your game. The game runs smoothly for me, so it’s not the server. There’s likely a kink in your traceroute.
Same for me my old no-nothing 5 year old rig runs D4 with no issues.
More than likely your rig is running more FPS than the server can handle. Instead of 150 FPS, drop to 60…its ok.

So you’re having rubber banding and freezing? What kind of freezing exactly? Where the whole screen freezes including your character? Or everything around you freezes while you can move your character until you disconnect or the game catches up?

Seriously the highest pc should be able to play it but when Blizzard is still running 28.8k modems even the best hardware has to wait for the servers to spit out the information. Crap Blizz servers vs (mostly everyone) having the specs to play the game…who is going to lose on that?
Basically, the screen either freezes entirely or as I am running I hit a wall that won’t allow me to move forward until the game catches up with me.
