Does anyone else have a gray lock sitting over the icon for this dungeon? I have not noticed it before and came across it today. This dungeon also has what appears to be a blocked off dungeon entrance toward the end of the dungeon, but outside of Baals’ room. The blocked entrance also has a mist that flows through it. I tried completing it with the Hellfire Hauberk equipped and emoting at the statues and blocked entrance with no luck. This could be nothing, but I have just never seen the lock icon over a dungeon before and since this one is linked to the prime evils, it just seems suspicious.

completed unlocking Forlorn Hovel
tried dropping/using stamina potion at locations inside dungeon / emoting
tried cycling through the rare-drop open-world equipment
I have not found a Lucky-Coin yet

Looking into this it appears there is a separate dungeon behind it.
With a route that is blocked off.
How we unlock the route and dungeon is beyond me.
Then it is unsolvable

This dungeon can only be accessed after you’ve cleared the stronghold event that’s in its position.

There’s a couple dungeons that have a locked path in them. I know what u are talking about. I always just thought that the instance itself provided some random events that lead u to the end through that path Instead of the other path… But it’s never opened… Idk, could be some future stuff for expansions, placeholder for a future idea… Idk man… Not really worth digging into, just blast the dungeon and leave

Currently we think that sanctuary we are in is actually chaos sanctuary, or the otherwise known as Diablo’s realm of terror.
Your grey lock we believe is an indicator of a hidden quest chain. The devs are telling us there is more content that is currently locked. They have echoed that every lock has a key.
I believe to open this weird lock we need to first start in fractured peaks. I think your lock dungeon is the end of the hidden quest line and I think it all starts in fractured peaks with the inscribing a phrase into wood place outside of kyovashod and we think it has something to do with the second door in Tormented ruins dungeon.
I saw in another post that you know how to acquire a lucky coin? Any chance you would be willing to share information on that?

Add Bnet account OneEye#1993. I found the lucky coin, and used it to complete a quest, and earned the Well-Wisher title.
