I noticed only yesterday that when i sell an item that I am not receiving any gold for it…I probably sold like 6 items at the BlackSmith and received nothing. I can walk over gold on the ground and get it, but not when selling. I logged out, restarted the pc, retested with same issue. Necromancer, Tier 2, Season 1
The blacksmith can only salvage, repair, and upgrade. Blacksmith does not give gold. Only crafting materials.

It’s because the blacksmith doesn’t buy items, he deconstructs them to mats. You sell at armor or weapon vendor.

Probably because you don’t sell things to the blacksmith.
You’ve been salvaging items instead of selling them.

Not all is lost, as you’ll need some mats for crafting. I tend to salvage most rares up through T3 just to build a healthy surplus of crafting mats, then start selling anything lower than a legendary that I can’t use in T4 as the value increases.

In the beginning its better to salvage everything anyways. Only around lvl 40 plus do you really start needing money

Yes, I agree. The mats are worth more than the gold you can get from lower level items.
