It’s way too easy to just walk up to a vendor and sell your items for gold. It makes gold trivial and negatively impacts the economy of the game.
I would like to see feature added where we need to haggle over the price of each item for some time before finally striking a deal with the vendor on the sale price of said item.
You could have several dialogue options available, for example:
“Alright, meet me halfway.”
“Come on, make me feel like I’m getting a deal.”
“That’s top dollar, I can’t give you top dollar, I have to make money too.”
The vendor can then react positively or negatively to your bargaining attempts, this would either increase or subtract from the deal guage for the current transaction of a singular item. Upon reaching a full deal guage, congratulations, deal completed, and just like that you have sold your item.
I think this would diversify gameplay while also improving the long-term health of the game.

I think Raxx reacted to Asmongold about a similar issue lately.
Yes, Diablo 4 should have copied many of the ideas and mechanics from PoE, I agree:
Tujen, the Haggler, is open to negotiating but has a short temper.
Tujen offers you items with unreasonably high prices. But he’s happy to haggle. You can always buy the item at the price he’s offering, but if you offer a lower price he might accept it, counteroffer or withdraw the item entirely if he is offended by your lowball.
He also occasionally sells currency items, so it’s worthwhile keeping some of the artifacts he’s looking for on hand just in case you see an opportunity.

i think maybe if they fixed the rolls and lose some useless affixes then maybe you wouldnt need to sell things, but now with this patch might aswell sell everything and not pick anything up anymore.
Need a sell all button. Cause most of the time…

No, I am serious.
Which is why for the example haggle dialogues, I took the favorite bargaining lines from the guys on an TV show called American Pickers, where they go around trying to haggle random people for antiques and striking deals.
It would improve the long-term health of the game.
also it seems a bit immersion breaking that the shops are always open. They should close down at night, so the shop keepers can get some rest.

exactly, you should first clear (selling dungen) which has special sigile that drops 90% less of regular sigiles, once you clear it you will be allowed to sell your items (capped to 10 items only) this is a good way to balance the game
Undoubtedly. It’s only fair to let them rest.
I’ll just store those items in my Stash until the…oh wait. I’ve got no room.

Shop keepers should also have a limited amount of gold each day, so you cannot unload all of your wares at once and to the same vendor on the same day.
When we upgrade potions, we should have to find an alchemist with a higher skill level, instead of going to the same old dude.
When drinking a potion, there should be an animation. Instant potion drinking and spamming isn’t realistic.

I really like this suggestion. Long-term health thinking. It seriously makes no sense that the vendors never sleep. It kills my class fantasy.
Building on this, they should also take lunch breaks, and have occasional family emergencies in which they cannot open the shop during normal business hours.

this brings new topic to the game, the enchanting system, there should be 50% chance of destroying your items per roll, so fun and balance.

Renown should affect if a shop keeper sells to you or not and what prices they give you when buying and selling.

Op I know you are just joking around and this is satire. But seriously, what if there was a haggle button with a cooldown you could use to squeeze (take a chance on it) some extra gold. With dialog and such. Sounds like a cool rpg feature, and could help people identify with the lifeless vendors.
(ya know bring the new generation a Charsi, yes I know she was a blacksmith)

This is also a great addition I hadn’t yet considered.
After all, no merchant has unlimited funds.
They should also more heavily scrutinize the items. Perhaps outright refusing to buy items with poor stat combinations as there is realistically no market for those items, thus disallowing the vendor to regain their costs or profit.
I agree.
I also think it is far too convenient to keep your experience when you log out for too long.
Every 48 hours you are logged off you should lose a level unless you are 100

Increase repair costs
Increase rerolling costs
Increase aspekt extract costs
Increase vendor buying stuff costs
Increase respec costs also in early game by 1000%
Remove monster gold drop
And
Decrease selling value by 95%
Would be a superb patch after genius 1.1 patch

Edit
Farming round about 100k-1mio gold should be tough endgame content, not possible for everyone.

Armor vendors should only buy and sell armor. Same with weapon vendors and jewelry vendors.

What if prices of items vary in different regions, requiring us to travel around to maximize profits?
