I give up. There is no game without trading and I refuse to have it forced on me. I’m so discouraged I can’t even make myself log in. I no-lifed at launch and have played hours in T3 and T4 but I can’t get the legendary runes to craft a mythic from my sparks and I haven’t seen a single 3GA. I’ve only gotten one equippable 2GA. The few others I’ve found have a trash affix like resist or health per 5.
Loot feels almost as bad as it did at D3 launch. It appears the devs made the same assumption that players would be trading so good items should be rare. Problem is, trading takes away what should be a fun loot hunt. Even if I wanted to buy my legendary runes, the market has inflated drastically from duping bugs and RMT. My self-found 170M gold is chump change.
My only hope is that the loot issues will be addressed in the Campfire Chat, but I’m not optimistic.
Its fun if you enjoy the build for what it is. I love my Companion Druid and My Dust Devil Frenzy Barb can fill the screen to look like a postapocalyptic wasteland. Its great fun every pack of enemies I fight.
I gave up on the loot hunt in S4. The whole find and grind itemization killed any desire I had to upgrade things. But yeah, it’s way worse now for regular items. Unique items on the other hand are easier. At the bosses have limited loot tables and getting boss mats is easier this season.
I play basically SSF, zero trading. I don’t share you sentiment. Aspects are a bit too rare, but otherwise I’m fine.
I have about 150 hours on clock between 2 chars. Not even reached T4. All I have is from T1-T3.
I found 2 mythics from Duriel and Andy (about 50 runs each, one mythic from T1, another from T2).
I have 2 reward sparks waiting.
I have following runes:
everything to craft Doombringer
2 unique runes shy from getting Harlequin
3 unique runes shy from getting GF
6 Liths for Tyrael (the rest I didn’t bother with yet)
I’m aiming for Grandfather, expect to get it this week.
The thing is to choose what Mythic are you looking for, and transmute all runes until you get the ones you need. Not that hard.
I agree and shares your view point for the most part here. I am also mostly SSF player and enjoy playing solo.
I really think a system like what is in Last Epoch where you can choose to engage with trading or SSF with both sides providing their exclusive perks would really benefit this game.
Well, me. I was fully SF, but gave up like 4-5 days ago. I didn’t log in since then and I’m not planning to, unless they change something significantly in mid-season patch. There is just no point to continue grinding as I have 0.01% chance to actually find something useful. Just waste of time.
Ancestral legendary drop rate needs another buff. They already buffed it before launch of S6 coming from PTR was even worse. They need to fix useless affixes there are still plenty needs to be removed from the game.
And they need to make drops more exciting . I think removing ancestral drop entirely from the ladder boss is a mistake. But I don’t mind the change. but they should buff the drop rate elsewhere the only place you can safely obtain a few ancestral in end game now is the undercity by using the legendary tribute.
OP crying because he didn’t get a shako at 60. Lulz.
Play the game and the loot to clear up to pit100 (on SB from my own experience) comes naturally. I only had to trade and hunt for specific affixes to make the jump to pit 125+.
But that’s all academic… stop being a nerd scared to go outside and make friends in game and trading becomes easy. Not a hard concept tbh. Idk why people insist on making their lives more difficult than they need to be.
Dude, you play SB. Pit 100 for you is like 70-80 for everybody else. You have literally no idea how it feels to play anything else than this broken tutorial-mode class. I played necro, so for me pit 100 required very serious dedication and a lot of luck, and I maxed out at pit 105 where I just cannot proceed anymore without some game-changing drops that in these rates just won’t happen.
I’m at the point where I’m literally giving away sets of runes to others so they can make their mythics and I STILL only have one equippable 2 GA. Zero 3 GA. Zero 4 GA.
I’m at paragon 289 and I fully expect to hit 300 without finding another one. I’ll also hit 300 without any max level aspects equipped, probably.
Realistic gear progression dies once you’re wearing full 1 GA items. That’s it. The big problem with this is that paragon after 250 gives almost no power, so you’re stuck grinding for masterwork crits if you want to progress power-wise. Masterworking feels real bad, so people quit.
Yup, my experience too. 1GA is max you can expect …for normal gear. Because it’s easier to actually find 2GA mythic than 2GA ancestral that is not trash.
Guess u not efficient. Mythics drops at bosses. If u want runes u could farm undercity. That doesnt take much time at all. I got plenty of 3ga items even some 4ga.
Not even close…
Or maybe they keep perfect gears hard to find in a game where the core is about slaying monsters for loot.
Thats why i dont trade. I wouldnt mind if they remove trade. Even if they did i wouldnt want them to increase the droprates. I still believe the droprates is too high.
U seem to want a easier game. Not everyone wants that. Its only a issue for the ppl who want and expect items to be easier to obtain.
And no i didnt no-life the game. I pretty much only play during weekend. And maybe avrg around 2-4h a week since season start. However i dont afk in town and chat.
This is true. I think the game should offer the cake to both parties equally. In terms of rewards it should not be different though. I assume people that wants a harder game play it because they want a “challenge” right ?
The rewards should be equal doesn’t matter what difficulty level one choose to play with.
Let’s pretend for a second that Blizzard has pretty much figured out what they want to do with items in generak and theyre not going to legacy stuff every few months.
I’m happy with how the game plays. It’s a lot of fun. I’m happy with itemization as far as statting - although masterworking needs something better than the current system, and tempering needs to solve two problems: bricking in general feels awful, and I’m disincentivized (mw adds to this too) to actually try and use a better base item if I previously got a high temper and/or good MW crits because I probably won’t a second time, and those often dwarf item stats in usefulness.
Ancestral drop rates could use a bump but playing eternal, they’re not the worst. But aspect gain is dead-end nonsense, and rune farming for mythics feels about in line with D2 or worse and is not okay for a seasonal based game.
