For some reason Blizz got the idea that just slowing everything down somehow makes the game more enjoyable. The make it a lot harder to get to and farm TIV, and on top of that they seemed to have nerfed the drops as well. Much lower ether numbers, Mythics and ancestorial items. Last season I would get multiple Ascential’s per gambling batch. Now lucky to get one. Boss drops are total trash. I used to hope for 4/4 GAs with each boss run and now I hope I just get a single 1 GA. Oh, and what few items you do find, trade chat doesn’t work half the time. But it’s a good thing they are putting so much effort into changing the Campfire chat.
That’s because they did.
You mean you believed them when they said “quality over quantity”?
New Diablo 4 player, long time D3 player. 2nd a/c, reason = boring story.
They seem to have amped up some of the annoying things I found about D3. Things like getting 3 or 4 90% chance rolls failing in a row. Are Blizzard using their cash shop rolls from the mobile game here?
Having all stats bar one being beneficial to your build but when you temper, you know it, the only one stat of many that you don’t want is the one that upgrades.
It’s clearly intentional. Before the rng defence force shows up. If it was rng it wouldn’t be easily reproducable and so consistent in its deliberacy.
Is this a way they think it’ll get people to play more instead of making things enjoyable?
Get them hooked?
Eh… I think the campaign is fine for the most part, same with leveling to 60. Can be done in about a day if you’re using a good early game build.
If they hand out 4GAs like candy the grind will be over in 3 days. 1 day to get to 60, 1 day to gear up to T4 bossing, and 1 day to get all 4GAs. That’s your whole season done.
Trade chat doesn’t work because people use a (admittedly terrible) website to buy and sell items. No I’m not talking about RWT.
If you’re doing T4, stick with Belial if you have the mats. Most of what he drops has at least one GA on it.
Item after item the same thing. But there are plenty that bury their head in the sand and say otherwise.
It is a cheap, minimal effort delay tactic to keep you in game longer. Some marketing genius convinced them the longer you play the better the odds you will buy something. Instead of engaging content they create gimmicks. On top of that they come out with a huge fake smile, tell you how great it is and how it was highly requested.
