So most know this but I don’t blame people for complaining.
You are buying a game, you expect a finished product. Yes, we went away from subs and frequent expansions, but what we get is we pay full price and get a half finished product
We went away from professional testers to we pay to test.
We continue testing in release.
Basically we fund and perform testing… So rightfully people complain. Don’t want complaints, hire professional testers and release a finished product.
Additionally, it is annoying how they sink so much money into marketing and trick consumers into thinking mechanics or end game content is there when it isnt. They spend more time and money on bsing the community/consumers than they do testing and creating the product.
A 70-100$ game not being finished on release? With obvious issues that hints towards a much deeper problem than some minor bugs?
Man, with customers like this…good times to be a big company.
It is sad that newer generations are being brainwashed into accepting dishonest business practices, because they didn’t experience anything better they learn to like it and even defend it.
D2 was full game on release…it just got better over time.
we got a 70$ paid beta product. with people who IGNORE previous titles. simple stuff like community boards and clans from D3 is completely missing for a game they WANT US TO PLAY WITH OTHERS.
not to mention other stuff like a like (?) icon to let you know what you can roll on a piece of gear.
they do not learn from their competition. they do not learn from THEIR OWN PREVIOUS PRODUCTS.
no its not on the same level at all. you are just trying to defend your 70$ you spent on this game instead of facing reality.
if your sequel does not at the very least have the features your previous installment had at the time of the sequels release, don’t release the sequel.
And i dont understand, why people, like you, are fine with NOT getting a complete game.
We are not talking about some god damn indie developed early access title. We are talking about a triple A extended fullprize game.
Sorry but it isnt what most of the community/average gamer would expect. You cannot write a sentence down on paper and turn that in for an essay and expect an A. Just because they attempted or did the bare minimum on something, doesnt mean that they can just checkbox “ultimate dungeons with endless replayability!” They had previous games as a base to work from and understand what works for gamers and what improvements they could make from those games. Instead we get another beta that puts this game even behind D3 release…
