I see random players everywhere, is there a way to disable seeing them?
I don’t like strangers and already have friends to play with.
I seen an option to disable local players but it didn’t do anything.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you

Sorry this is the wrong game for you then. Randoms is part of the open world experience.

Diablo has always had the option of playing offline or online. Both options should be available in the beta, as they will be available when the game launches.
This game isn’t aspiring to be the rest. It is its own thing.
I got you. So when they said its “Open World” they meant to say its going to be an MMO with an open world. Not that its classic diablo with an “Open World”
That’s sorta wild, you think they would of advertised that there would of been strangers permanently visible after the tutorial area.
I don’t see anything on the store page saying its an MMO… or is it only an MMO for the open beta like Ryndarin is saying?
I like MMO’s well enough but I wasn’t prepared for it because I didn’t see anything mentioning it and that sort of weirds me out that blizz tried to hide that rather large fact lol

I took that to mean that online world wide shared world was optional, not permanent. That you could play with just your friends if you wanted too instead of playing with everyone else, always, forever, regardless of if your teamed up or not.
Offline will not be available, I’m not sure where you got the idea that it would be.
Boy oh boy. I sure do love when my diablo games are ONLINE ONLY!

In the description from the PSN store, it clearly states that you can play solo or co-op groups of 4. From my experiences with Diablo, playing solo always meant playing offline. Most players who play Diablo online are intentionally looking to complete content with others.
As I have stated in another thread, the description for the beta should have specifically stated that the open beta is online only if that is the true intention of this beta.
To be fair if you actually look on the official website for the game it is in fact advertised as an MMOARPG DUNGEON CRAWLER series. Just do the research its there. This is in no way the same as the previous installments its literally the closest thing we’ll have to a WoD “World of Diablo”.

Thats a real bummer. I was really hoping that after beta you wouldnt have to see people running around in the over world but if this is how its going to be then idk… ill keep going through the beta and see if I can handle it but i doubt it.
I wish they would of really announced that this was World of Diablo instead of diablo 4. I feel like ive been tricked because as far as i can see its not mentioned on the store page
I feel like such huge gameplay deviations from the rest of the series should be front, center and proudly announced like all of the other key bits of information, ya know?
Hopefully this is all just for the beta and you can turn off the ability to see people. I dont care about in town or whatever but i really dont like it on the over world when your trying to fight guys and 1337HickusDekkus1337 runs up and steals your kill.

Just act like they’re NPCs, it’s not like you have to interact with anyone just play the same way you would solo.

Dungeons and those laptop cellars are just solo/party based, right?
