In Fractured Peaks, I can’t pick up / start the quest ‘Secret of the Spring’. I’ve found the Discarded Note in the world that should start the quest, and it shows as a blue ! on both my mini-map and main map. Clicking the note correctly pops up the riddle pop-up, but does not start the quest.
I know the specific hot spring I’m supposed to go to during the quest (if the quest would start), since I’ve done this quest on another character years ago, and recently looked up guides to confirm I’m not crazy. I’ve gone to that spring and done the required emote, but the reward chest that’s supposed to come out of the ground upon completion is already above-ground and opened. The quest state is just bugged; I absolutely have not done this quest on this character - it’s one of only 3 remaining quests in Fractured Peaks.
I’ve tried leaving and re-joining the game, restarting the game client, switching world tier difficulties (which weirdly inconsistently makes the ! icon appear / disappear), joining a party, and having a party member complete the quest, all with no luck.
A search on Reddit, here, and other forums shows this is a long standing bug (e.g here’s others having ths problem on Reddit). Please help!
