Second class is the Amazon

Second class is the Amazon, most likely 99% sure. Spears are confirmed to be a new weapon type, and the new zone is the Skovos Island.

Yep that’s most likely. Spear fighter might be cool addition for D4 as Spiritborn is more like Monk with focus on mobility and martial arts.

But I’m kinda also missing a trap playstyle of Assassin.

Maybe some new hybrid of Amazon and Assassin could be possible?

Also it’s a no brainer seeing in the expac materials they mention Skovos being ruled by the Amazon Queen… They keep secrets with the same ability to make sure their systems function, which is to say… not at all.

Amazons were female-exclusive. They’re going to spin off a breakaway faction maybe?

Chadazons will be available and they’ll spin it as ‘everyone needed to join the battle’

Or T-Rex.

Which site mentioned this?

Already happened to Rogues. They also call male witches in Hawezar.

Might go with a more magical class and do Oracles.

Yeah but they still look like a dude LOL

It’s Assassin, not Amazon.

One of the devs literally said it during an interview, I think it was the one Rax did recently?

I was thinking the same thing because we first met the assassin in Act 3 of D2 before the expansion came out. Point is they were kinda linked to mephisto.

they could just use two body types, like fromsoft did, call it BODY type a and b. one beefy one skinny. So everyone can look like a male or a female without ever making sure what it is as only a lift of the skirt could tell and that is not part of the game.

See when i made a char in eldenring i had a samurai and i could choose between a and b body type. i picked the slender one as i wanted to be a agile samuai. Several hours into the game by swaping some armor i realised by char has boobs. So ya, they called it body type a and b and b stands for boobs i guess.

could be Ama(but i doubt cuz she was not in d3).

Will it be actually first really new class in D3.5?

Ya I totally get that - but I imagine a rigid version of Amazon society (one in which only females are warriors) would be less concerned about body ‘build’ (except you’d better be able to ride a horse while drawing a steppe bow, and even chop off a mammary gland when it gets in the way of said bow)… and more frankly concerned about hierarchies & power structures. And the tradition would maintain that only ‘females’ got to be warriors… for reasons.

Then, that opens space for a break with tradition - prompted by either external or internal factors… something perfectly suited to Sanctuary which has been raided by hellspawn for generations. (That would do it.)

It has interesting narrative potential. It’s even subversive & defiant. The stuff of good drama.

The NPCs wouldn’t even have to break immersion for the player who doesn’t want the player character to be identified a particular way. The player character is as much learning the lore as being part of it - the world is much bigger than any one person.

But doesn’t the rogue, cover some of that right now? Granted yes it doesn’t have that many traps, poison trap and death trap (caltrops) if you want to count that as one.

Nah there is a picture with the pala and some other class in the background in the shadow. That armor does not match a amazon , it looks like a dark spellcaster of some sort

Ever wonder how they reproduced if there were no men?

I have said for a very long time that they should be overdelivering, and while 2 classes is the bare minimum for overdelivering, I do give them kudos for at least doing that.

I still think that they should be releasing all old classes as free updates to the game in between expansions, and have the expansions themselves offer something new every time, but this is Blizzard and they are only capable of so much.
