Most of these posters are more than likely coming from MMOs and other live-service games, so it’s really hardly surprising that they come here and expect Diablo IV to conform to their expectations.
The good thing is that it’s never going to happen, so they can keep chirping about it all they want and get nothing in return.
No it wouldnt. The gameplay loop would be exactly the same. Putting the new seasonal theme on eternal wouldnt effect the reset in any which way shape or form. The only thing that would change is more players on eternal and thus more people playing the game. The only difference between the two realms would be the reset and the leaderboards. Its a win for everyone.
So why did you purchase a “seasonal live service game”? Why do you believe the game should be change just for you? Eternal exist for those not interested in seasons. Yes season 3 fell off early after all the nerfs, had guantlet not come out I would have been done in the first month of the season with all the nerfs to the S3 theam.
The whole point of season is that people can stop playing for a few months and come back when they feel like.
If you don’t play seasons you will be bored of the game in less than year anyway so please don’t spoil it for the rest of us.
Thats not the point of season though… You cant stop play a season and come back to that same season a few months later… What you describe is the point of Eternal imo.
The point of seasons is for players to start fresh at a leveled playing field and introduce new seasonal content, balance changes and general updates to the already existing game.
To keep the game fresh and have upcoming things for players to experience and be excited about.

OP’s reasoning is completely irrelevant. Despite the personal attacks and blaming we already had some good conversations going on. 
How delightful – a recurring comedy where you willingly hit the reset button to become a PTR season tester and engage in some thrilling wallpaper battles?
Then, sit back and eagerly await the exhilarating moment of duplication… Not like it matters to me, right?
Just another mindless monster-slaying game revolving around wallpapers? Since the days of Diablo III, it seems we’ve blissfully ignored the whole point and joy of looting and the charming loot system.
They should put the seasonal theme on eternal so such players will shut up about it. But what will happen after that is they will discover they only get about 5 minutes of content from it and will start complaining about that.
Inevitably, and the root of the issue, is that such players want an MMO, not an ARPG loot hunter. So adding the seasonal motif to eternal won’t actually make them happy. They just don’t know it yet because they don’t know how these games work.

Just stop with the disengenous MMO garbage. Nobody is asking for an MMO. If they put the new seasonal theme on the eternal realm the only people that would be complaining would be seasonal players because few people care about leaderboards or like resetting their character every three months. Eternal would be far more popular and thats less people for you to play with. Im starting to think thats the real reason you guys attack and misrepresent anyone who dares to go against your precious D2/POE tradition.
Previous Season questline should be in Eternal Realm. Would be a waste to just do a one time forgotten quest every three months.
Okay how about this. Blizzard put seasonal theme on Eternal. But you can only interact with particular theme when making a new character. And that theme is locked to that character forever. An Eternal Seasonal Sever.

Seriously, just play Eternal and most of your non-problems are solved!
My honest opinion is that I wouldn’t care if Blizzard instituted seasonal content into eternal tomorrow. It would affect me none because I do play seasonal realms and will likely continue playing seasonal realms regardless of what was available on eternal.
But like, I’m also of the opinion that they don’t have to do that if they don’t want to, and there’s a non-zero chance that doing so will only create other issues within the game that many people begging for it are not considering.
Above all, however, I know they aren’t going to, so asking for it is futile and irrelevant to the broader discussion of how to make Diablo IV better. It’s a meaningless distraction because a select number of people feel weirdly attached to their characters and don’t want to create another one, EVEN THOUGH not creating another one solves absolutely nothing that they’re complaining about (I.E. having to repeat the same content again). Regardless of if you’re level 100 or level 1, the cycle in Diablo IV remains pretty consistent, and removing seasonal resets will not suddenly change that for you. You will still be doing the same content on repeat without fail, except you’ll probably be going through the game faster as a result, leading to even more complaints about how there’s nothing to do at the endgame.
I cannot stress this enough: You are playing the wrong game because being level 1 shouldn’t dissuade you from playing. The drive for playing this game comes from the loot puzzle, and none of that changes (or at least shouldn’t) between level 1 to level 100.
If you want content and all you care about is content, there are dozens of other games that give that to you, and they will do it far better than what you will get with Diablo IV.
So like, go play those games.
Leveling should be much harder. especially from 90-100 just like in D2.
It should take 10x the amount of time and its hella boring seeing 100s everywhere like its raining candy. Give me a break - ppl are maxed in less than few days lmao. Pointless and people dont care about min - max. hit 100 and done. NEXT
