Why do we have to do the seasonal quest on every new character that we create? For those of us who play several characters, this is exhausting. I didn’t see anything about changes to this this mentioned in the upcoming season 4 changes.
Has the Diablo 4 team not learned anything from the WoW team? As someone who left after season 1 and was excited about the season 4 changes and PTR, I returned a few weeks ago. Doing the seasonal quest on my 4 character has me not even wanting to play anymore. It’s not like the seasonal quest even ties into an endgame story. Please give us the option to skip the seasonal quest once it has been completed on one character and allow us to unlock the associated seasonal power/system please. Doing it a 4th time is exhausting.

Did WoW finally implement account wide progression? I haven’t played in years, I left after playing through cataclysm and there was nothing in the game to help your alts through the game aside from gear you could send them.
Regardless though, I agree. Seasonal story should be account wide. One of the reasons I typically won’t make an alt is due to this. Maybe one of these seasons.

It can’t be any more exhausting than trying to turn a self-inflicted issue into some major design flaw on Blizzard’s part.
Playing their game is a self-inflicted issue?
Ok silly goose.
I’m not saying it’s not annoying, but like… you’re replaying the same season four times, my guy. It’s likely not Blizzard’s intention for you to play several characters in a single season since you can experience everything a season has to offer on a single character, but you’re hamming it up like it’s some glaring oversight.
If you play a game over and over again, you’re going to encounter repetition.
I would prefer an option to skip rather than an “always skip” akin to how Skip Campaign works.
I do play alts each Season with various friend groups, and telling one friend “well sorry, I did that quest on another character, I can’t do it again” is poor when we’re supposed to be questing together.

Honestly even better suggestion, you are absolutely right.
Not sure it would apply to D4 though, you can still join a friend midway through their campaign if you want. They just have to invite you instead of you inviting them. Not that I wouldn’t still like the option to skip mind you, just throwing out what they might do.

But you don’t have access to quest-exclusive areas that you’ve already completed. That’s the issue.
EDIT: you can for campaign-quests, but not general or seasonal quests.
I’ve tried. Things like the cellar with the werewolf in Kyovashad. You can’t click to enter and you can’t portal to a friend if they are inside and you’ve done the quest.

I enjoy doing the seasonal quests tbh.

Gotcha, honestly didn’t know that. Sounds like a bit of an oversight on Blizzards part. Doesn’t surprise me though. Either way give us more options!

The story campaign is the only thing I like about D4 so once I finish around level 50 I start a new character. Hoping this changes in the future…
And that’s fine. You can do them on a million characters if you want. I think an option to skip is good for the rest of us who don’t want to do it over and over again on multiple alts. You can do them and I can skip them. Everybody wins.
you are clearly passionate about wanting to be able to skip content in game.
I’m clearly passionate about not wanting to repeat a questline 4-5 times during the season if I’ve already done it once or twice on other characters. It can actually be skipped now silly. lmao The only issue is that they tie so much power behind the seasonal mechanic that they essential force you to do it over and over if you want play other classes.
