Ohhh thats a Brick⦠I thought it was a square hot-dog⦠haha.
I have many stories of bricking 2 rings in a row and two gloves⦠In both cases each had a ā1 in 4ā chance of rolling what I wanted⦠but rolled the same two results, what, ten (both items) in a row? ugh.
I also have a āI thought I bricked an item but it turned out awesomeā. I wanted Bash (who dosent?) but ended up with the Kick result. I was mad but gave it a go anyway. On Bosses itās awesome. Instead of Kick Vulnerability lasting just 4s, it was lasting 32s. haha.
I shall add to this post when I have something more noteworthy of not being optimized. My few GA items (1 or 2 GAs) have been lucky. Necros have some pretty easy choices though. Aside from missing Golem damage, the rest are just kind of whatever.
Yah most of my are on sorc. Necro is easier but I did run into a 4x golem and 2x summon hit on a ring and it was painful. IT is hard to hit ultimate cd sometimes.
Lost count but it always the Tempers that require a specific skill affix that get the heart pumping. Thatās the highest chance to miss and brick an item it seems.
Its all part of RNG and I accept that but it would be nice if you could choose the āFrozen Orbā recipe and know at least whatever you get is usable, even if its not optimal.
I think they should brick far more often, so that bricking is the expected outcome and thereās only the upside of getting the best roll.
I also think they should make the worst bricked rolls still likely to be of some use, rather than, say, putting ice shards and frozen orb on the same manual.
Iām running incinerate still, though, so I donāt have any affixes that are do-or-die
Iāll preface this by saying I must have bad luck. Iāve found 2 x 3GA items and both of them were resistance/essence/life. I have two 2GA items that rolled good stats and Iām taking them all the way. I have four 1GA items that have rolled int or life. And I have four items that have no GAs. Iāve completed 7 glyphs to 21. Iām on the second last step of the season Helltide farming. Iāve completed pit 61.
Iāve bricked 3 items, one of which had a GA on runspeed so I use it, the 2nd temper was speed when in blood mist (or it might have been related to iron maiden) which is a skill I donāt use.
Items with 2GAs are so rare to me I cannot handle the thought of bricking them. Let alone finding a 1GA with a great stat.
My solution: I select the specific temper I want to apply. The RNG decides what the value will be. I get the same number of rerolls as the current. Increase the mat/gold cost to reroll.
Basically Iām not finding enough usable 1GA items, let alone 2GA items, and Iām dreaming if I think Iāll find a usable 3GA item, to be be bricking them at all.
If they fixed this most of the major issues would be resolved. Itās the skill affixes that really brick an item, most of the other stuff can be worked around even if itās suboptimal.
Are you for real? Bricking isnt an problem at all because we can just duel wield credit cards and buy more?
All us are not wallet warriors like yourself MR z1 willing to get permanently banned by buying items for real $$$. Insulting other ppl while admitting to RMT is about as dumb as you can get.
I think perhaps some people are trying to be too greedy with the system and when it backfires they complain. If you want the best of the best items it SHOULD take a lot of time and effort and resources - you have 3+ months for that.
Getting pretty good items is a lot easier. You can settle for a lower roll or a slightly suboptimal but still useful stat etc. Increase your chances of an acceptable outcome.
Donāt try for the best when you need pretty good, and there will be a lot less disappointments imo.
tempering actually makes me anxious about what i will lose, not excited about what i will get.
look, i understand they want player to keep playing. but i think thereāre definitely better ways. with this durability limits, itās like the dev yelling āwe want u to keep playing but canāt think of other waysā
also, it makes me feel like they havenāt learned from enchanting. earlier, enchanting was extremely costly so later they lowered the cost and ultimately they put a cap this season. isnāt this pattern like tempering durability? iām pretty sure people will complain about the low rolls so then later they will up the limit, but not enough so even later they may consider remove the limit. canāt they arrive at the eventuality sooner? do they want to keep players or make them leave? i certainly canāt put up with this pattern again. the introduction of skill 2.0 made me excited and wanted to try tons of builds but now?
