just read through the blogpost with the ashes moving to the season journey.
the good part about season journey was that you didnt have to do every objective to move to the next tier.
but now it seems individual challenges also give ashes, and on the screenshot released it wants you do defeat lilith and belial in Torment 4. And with the changes to power and difficulty Torment 4 is going to be even harder.
They said they only want around 10% of people to be in T4.
wich means before with enough playtime you gan get all the Ashes in order to help you along. But now you NEED to play a build that not only can do T4, but defeat lilith (something i havent been able to do for the past 5 seasons btw) in order to get all ahses.
Way to say screw you to the casual (most of the playerbase) audience

The Ash system has always been a day late and a dollar short. It’s more of the same as far as I’m concerned.

You don’t really need more than eight of these so I don’t see the issue.

The issue is that they were grandstanding about having aspirational content that is only for 10% of the players. Yet now they are locking base seasonal content behind that difficulty. Meaning most players will never be able to use this system like before

I do declare! clutches his pearls
Do you need help completing some Torment 4 objectives?
Oh my poor little old scaredy darling, I’m sure people in due time will help you defeat that Big old Meanie Lilith and Belial !
You just have to be a little bit more patient now you hear? You won’t be able to beat the game within 3-6 days, it’s actually gonna take a little bit of effort!
Why, It’ll take just as long as eating my homemade apple pie!
In all seriousness, if you need help when you get to the point your ready to move up in torment, ASK.

I’m not convinced that only a small percentage of players will get to T4. They made it a little more “difficult” but it’ll probably still be a cake walk.

Nobody is getting screwed. There is nothing wrong with offering some challenge. Its a good thing.

T4 is kind of challenging, but it’s not thaaaat hard. Pretty much any boss in the base PoE 2 campaign is harder than any boss I tackled in torment 4

Chances are I’ll be asking for help when “I’m Ready” , LOL
I take my time playing Diablo 4, I enjoy the story/gameplay (on my 1st character which would/Could take a couple of weeks) before I play alt’s and just kind’a zoom towards the end.
Diablo 4 will be slower, Harder, LONGER …(…ooo kinkay!..) …
Which is more then fine with me.
Maybe not enough “Loot” will fall from the heavens, but that’ll just mean that what Does fall will be that much more Important.
I highly doubt this game will be harder then POE 2, and people who fear about not getting into Torment 4 needs to put on their Big Boy Pants and Play the Game and not let the game play you because it’s so easy.
GET READY TO PLAY A HARDER (even if a little) Version of Diablo 4.

I would agree.
I didn’t know my fellow gamers were so scared/wishy washy of a harder (even a little harder) version of a Season.

I’m at the very last boss of the campaign in poe2, and it made me wanna play Diablo 4 again, because it was so hard
Good that the season is about to start
I played POE 2, and…it’s NOT a bad game…it’s just not for me. Maybe it would be if I had people to play with, and I understood the lore better …
I need to watch a game play of the game to understand everything better I suppose, just so I can have a general idea…but I’m never playing POE 2 ever again so whats the point…meh -_-
That ending boss was That hard? Sounds worst then a Dark souls boss…HELL Naw, I’ll pass on that.
the incursion can be quite overwhelming if faced alone initially.
OMG.
Season Journey
Defeat Lilith using Belial’s Eye Beams Main Boss Power in Torment IV.
season 8 = season of dad gamer cleansing.

Not really, he may mean on Cruel. The first run it was very killable but the experience can vary based on being melee vs ranged.
The Sorc class is just so much better in both POE2 and in LE than here. I can’t say for Dragonkin as I have not tried Sorc there yet.
What’s incredibly hilarious is that players will need to defeat Lillith multiple times to power up her boss power if they choose to use it.
Nobody seems to be realizing that yet… I’ll just laugh in mechanics quietly over here, rofl
It all depends on what people mean by “players”.
As I’ve stated, I have several rl friends that play. They mainly play the story, and they do each Season for the BattlePass only (not the Season Journey). They hit T1, finish the BP, and that’s it. They don’t care about T3 or T4. It’s their choice, and that’s how they play.
I’ve tried to help them, they simply don’t care about gearing up or tackling more difficult content even as a carry.
This difficulty change won’t really affect them. The BP changes might, but we’ll see.
I have no idea what percentage of the player base play like this. That’s 3 on my friends list that play each and every Season essentially to T1 only. One even buys cosmetics (I’d venture at least 1 outfit a Season).
