At the end of the day should they implement a leaderboard on pit top rankings would just goto credit card warriors. There unfortunately will always be some exploits that exist. Guantlet was actually a good way to do leaderboards because there was strategy behind it like when to pop the shrines and paths to follow. I mean sure ppl with watch someone else play the game to see how they can replicate it but for me why bother competing if your just following a cheat guide.

This is not true. Played PTR with non meta build (HS rogue) and almost reached torment 3 without using any boss powers

I would actually prefer to finish the season early simply so I can tinker with my eternal characters. And for me, completing the season means every tier in the battle pass and every objective in the season journey. But at the same time, I donāt completely rush through it. And I 100% agree with you. Just because 1 person finished what they wanted to do in the season in 10 days, that doesnāt speak for everyone else. I actually watched that video and agree with Slaydra. This whole swinging of the pendulum catering to 1 group of payers 1 season then to another the next is exhausting. I wouldnāt even mind if seasons were suspended so they can focus on the core game. To find some balance thatāll please the majority of the player base. Player retention will be better with more engaging and meaningful content. Stretching progression and ignoring the core problems is a poor route to take. Using FOMO to retain players.

FWIW, Rob has also put out a video criticizing S8 plans (āS8 = BAD?!ā). If Blizzā idea was to cater more to the diehards & streamers, look like theyāre missing that mark.
is what happens when you outsource devs that dont play diablo enough and just listen to feedback from tubers. Time to get rid of seasons and just patch every few mths for eternal, sick of flavor of month builds and variations of hell tides and boring 1shot bosses. Please hire game devs that know how to code and develop proper fun/challenging game. Fix your trade chat channel too doesnāt work half the time, good lord.

All kind of the same point, and I consider these positives. When the lower tiers of items mattered, you end up having to process tons of them for a very small chance for getting a GG item. I want to graduate past tiers of items as I get stronger.
Thereās definitely balance and numbers issues, but usually the tuning does get improved between PTR and live. Infernal Hordes PTR and Live was very different. The council had insane amounts of HP for most builds on PTR.
Still tradable, stack sized increased, still worth to run in a group, you just donāt get 4x as much as solo players.
Haha Wudijo puts out detailed notes on what needs fixing every season. And his points are generally valid.
And they ignore him.

Heās a pretty fair and level headed D4 content creator. So Iāll take him at his word.
Itās hard to balance classes and builds when they keep adding temporary powers that boost some and not others. How about adding to endgame instead? Take the Torchlight Infinite model and add new endgame options each season. They have a much smaller team and manage to add so much more content in a year than D4.
I made it to torment 4 with my trap rogue on PTR, and no Mythics or Runes (but this one is my fault as I wonāt give them more money.) Good for you, keep playing the gameā¦ let the influencers run everyoneās emotions.

This season D4 will have some competition at least between POE2 and Last Epoch.
I see no reason to play S8 at launch thatās for sure. I have zero hype for it and donāt want to punish myself just to do the season journey or battle pass.

It isnāt stubborn so much as cautious. If I give them money that sends a message I am happy with the state of the game. I am this way with everything.
ARK Survival Evolved was one of my faorite gamesā¦when they had all the shennigans with Ark 2 and free upgrades and this new inbetween where the developers learn how to UE5 but now for a costā¦I just said no. And waited, it was buggy as hell. I finally bought it now like year later and it is in a pretty decent enough state where I am enjoying it againā¦and it is beautiful.
I tried it on release and it was so buggy I refunded it. I got a better version at half the price now.

You wanna know why? Wudijo is a good player, exceptional even, even so, designer/balancer he is not.
And uh, I just got done watching his S8 summary video. Dang FOF losing the LH CC is rough for Sorcs too 
but I suppose on the upside we have perma Vulnerable without the need for Lightning Spear 
What I find a little dystopic is that you used ā[Diablo] partnerā at least 3 times in your post (including the title)ā¦ when the phrase is in the title of his video. I know that sort of correlation doesnāt mean anything on its own, but stillā¦ spooky. Unless youāre Slaydra himself, marketing shouldnāt be that effective.
(Again, not reading anything into it, just a casual observation. My main hypothesis is of course that you wield the phrase the same way he does: to stave off the zombies with their pitchforks.)
Far be it for me to tell ppl how to spend their $. For what itās worth, back then, I refused to buy Reaper of Souls because we were told that they were going to fix D3ās endgame for free. We, in particular, me, spent a lot of time & energy giving them said fixes, which they turned around and packaged it as RoS. Went on to become a huge critical success.
Couple that with Blizz making the guy who stole my build (he credit carded it up almost immediately after ripping it from my video) forum MVP and giving him beta access to RoS, as well as threatening to ban me for speaking out.
All that said, I more than anyone have the biggest axe to grind so by all respects I shouldnāt even be playing this game let alone give them $ and yet I do. This team is not that team and this game is not that game. Yeah this game needed fixes but itās actually been free. Weāve gotten a hell of a lot more since core D4 came out.
As someone who does not play many other games (used to, but no longer) Iāve saved a lot of money and still have a lot of fun playing D4. I have PoE2 thatās in the rotation & LE will be thrown in as well. This is all I play.
Iām just saying. Iām not telling you how to spend your money or whatever. Thatās your choice, ultimately. In my opinion D4 is worth your money. Thereās no reason to deny yourself of all the features and whatnot that comes w/ expansion.
