Casual blasters should be happy in Torment 2 or 3. You won’t be missing out on anything.
Those who like to min/max and push further can try their luck in Torment 4.
You have nothing to worry about with Season 8 being a little harder than usual. It’s about time the game pushed back a bit as it’ll make things interesting.
This upcoming season will be pretty dumb.
The classes outside of barb feel better balanced overall. Can’t really say, I only played one and looked at some numbers of others, Rogue looked really in the worst scenario to start that is why I picked it, to see how it would be…and it ended up surprising me, the trap rogue has some value.
But once you hit Pit68-70ish…it doesn’t matter, it will rely on your Boss Powers…and being Blizzord there is one that is better than the rest. (Mind you this is with fully leveled glyphs and 300 paragon points which you won’t have in the season. )
So everyone can put that combo on and keep going.
It would have been nice if they managed to make them all have value…and then balanced the environment to that.
Yes, it is elitism. This game still has no endgame content and the last time we had a real mechanical challenge was Uber Lilith almost 2 years ago. The only official leaderboards that this game had (the Gauntlet) were removed half a year ago.
Blizzard’s approach to challenging content in D4 is making people grind for 40 hours instead of 10 hours and there are people who think that grinding a lot is mad skilled and the pinnacle of 2025 ARPG design.
Which is why Blizzard’s “10%” comment was insane. I can understand elitism in games that are mechanically challenging like Starcraft. But D4? Seriously? They want elitism in game that basically plays like Cookie Clicker?
The game has regressed to being worse than even straight up a casino because even with casino games there is some skill involved with most. With D4 it’s entirely rng gear based luck or trade/carry or RMT to higher levels.
Therefore there is no feeling of ever accomplishing anything, only a feeling of relief.
It will be way more than 10% especially if they leave that one boss power like it is.
But honestly 65 was not that complicated to get past. Yes I did need to tweak my build a bit, and make sure you are using the biggest gems…but I think someone with a solid understanding of builds should be able to clear it. No mythics.
It’s like we’re talking about two different games in s7.
Made little effort, still some legendary gear, some mw1, mw2 … t4 has nothing to stand in the way of waltzing through eyes closed. Been that way since well less than 200 paragon.
When it gets to a point of people having to attack other players to make a point it’s no longer about debating the topic on its merits. It’s become about getting one’s way over another’s without care for what makes sense and what doesn’t. There’s really not much point having a conversation at that point.
tons of exp? what for tho? did you hit paragon 300 in s7?
tons of loot? where is that loot hidden in t4? =O
or is that your urza game designer mentality again?
only thing they should take care of OP is that the seasonal journey isnt locked behind t4. If thats secured people can cry their hearts out being stuck in t3.
eventually itd even lead to people asking for help on their builds. For sure a better invested time than crying about difficulties.
If T4 didn’t drop almost twice as much obducite, or have an increased mythic drop chance, then it wouldn’t be much of an “issue” to stick to T3 or make T4 feel mandatory.
