Season 8 feels like a bust

Started off fun for me, and the builds i picked are partly to blame, but T4 end-game has been a pain this time around, drop rates feel terrible, very grindy for loot, tempering/masterworking just sucking the fun and mats out of you.

Been playing since release, this is the first season that made me want to take a long break from the game, hope S9 is better, cheers.

Just play in T3 instead.

Sounds like more of low outlier balance has let the vision down. Resourcing imo.

I agree with everything that you said. I finally unistalled D4, i was playing since seson 2, and i give up, reached like lvl 70-80 idk … got so bored that can’t stand this seson.

I wrote about that in Seson 7 when i saw what was coming in Seson 8

Hope that seson 9 make some noise.

Catch you in season 9 and season 10 and season 11…

There’s a reason they made this season so short…they knew many people wouldn’t like it.

You can’t put a mountain in front of a gamer and tell them “oh just don’t climb it.”

I already uninstalled after leveling a couple characters and messing around. Almost want to log in for a couple free Mythics tho unless they nerfed that.

Lol. It was shorter because or the delay. They are keeping to their annual schedule. S8 is definitely a step in the right direction. 1000% better then S7.

Incorrect. :man_facepalming:

Correct. :+1:

Save up some dollars for more drive space

Yes, and that’s why there was a delay. You think they really needed extra time to churn out this buggy mess?

If they don’t have to climb the mountain then why would they?

You don’t need T4. T3 gives you 80% of what you get in T4. But if you want to do T4 then put in some effort into your build. Don’t just btch that it’s too hard.

WORD!

(This dumb chat system is making me type 20 characters that do not seem the same. Ignore this part of the text even though its now waaaay more than 20 characters and was completely pointless for me to write)

I mean don’t get me wrong but finally most got to see how the game actually worked since release day (with the absurd scaling and everything)

The difference is that this season more people had the opportunity to first-hand feel it

The best part about this season was getting to t4 when the season began it was fun. Then killing Belial in t4 going through the mechanics. I played Alot on my barb that first week then completely burned out on him once I was in pit 100 because the build I was playing just felt not barb like unfun. Made a sorc going into that weekend then literally sat on Belial again and completely burned out again Thursday/Friday/Saturday. I didn’t touch the game from that Sunday to Thursday (yesterday). I didn’t feel like farming obducite and leveling glyphs on the sorc lmao. Yesterday I actually just logged in to craft more starless. Today after work I’ve been playing and the game is fun again I needed that 4 day break. Moral of the story don’t grind the same thing for too long.

True, BUT, the game itself has to have a mechanism not to feel forced to do this (i.e. offer an alternative), or at the very least allow adjustments to retry while doing it

When you’re like 10 paragon points away from an upgrade or farming the next GG item for an upgrade (or even worse, a higher roll of item you already have) the game has to offer more than “replay this and you’ll get there”… some day :cow:

Do you think that non exclusive glyphs should be shared between characters?
Trying to get a pulse on this.
Maybe i will write a post about the pro’s and con’s.
Blizz wont do it anyway because no content exists and they have to keep player progression to a minimal to avoid player base falloff before their AI generated anticipatory chart predicts. (Speculation but wouldn’t dout if it were true)

I’m loving it. It’s great that it’s already been 2 weeks and there’s still a lot to complete.
