Season 8 disaster

Season 8 is making the game slower, not more fun, but just slower. All the changes this season to levelling speed and power are nothing more then a cynical attempt to keep us engaged with the game longer - I don’t believe it will work.

If they want us to engage with the game more/ longer then they need to make the experience more fun - just taking twice as long to get to lvl 60 doesn’t make the experience more enjoyable. This just makes the game a task. If want a second job I will play POE2 - I don’t, I want a fun blast

As for nerfing ultimates - wow - another backwards move. Just like the revamped loot in VoH that ruined the good work of the loot reboot now they go and ruin the ultimates. Guess we will all be running core skills builds again in season 8.

For me it’s back to drawing board Blizzard - I don’t need the PTR to know how bad all this will feel!

I think you should wait for the PTR or for the season to be released.

You never know, you may actually enjoy it.

true but what i think about seasons in general…

it feels like a bad occupational therapy without any important activities for more than a few days season-story.

we have 3 months season.

if seasons come with so little content…that makes no sense for future seasons… thats only tiresome.

they could also say a season is like any other event…for two weeks or so.

Judging a dish before you’ve tasted it is not a sign of intelligence or foresight.
There are plenty of other points discussed in the video where we could guess what might go wrong or predict potential improvements, this is not one of them.

A cynical attempt to keep us engaged longer is spot on. It’s artificially drawing out the content of the game. What they should be doing is keep build diversity and item depth so that players that want to play more can make a new class or grind out 2-4 GAs. Instead we’ll just be putting way more effort into leveling, glyphs, basic drops for builds and bossing. I’m calling it now that S8 will have a terrible reception and they’ll have to backpedal.

I like the name. Consider revamping your contrived opinion. What do have to opine in regards to now?

fun to see how people act up now that things become slightly slower now.

fun fact, people, including me, have been complaining about the zoom-factory of d4.

good to see they at least try to take out the speed.

Dude or Dudette, consider a name change. Rockin’ that in The Fentanyl age is idiotic. I am not calling you an idiot, just the promotion of illicit drugs, and stupid ideas.

Or, I don’t know. You can play the season for as long as you want. Beat it (if that’s in a day or 2 , or 3 ) then guess what.

Your done.

Unless you want to make an alt (or) you don’t care about the battle pass, your done. I suppose the dev’s got what they want out of ya? :person_shrugging:

Ah so des ne. Nihongo. Ah so. Ah so.

Neither do I. Gotta be Guijin. LOL!

If they slowed down progression like they said, then few people will enjoy it. T3 is the old T4 now and people will just play that. The game is not fundamentally changing, you’re just getting fewer items now.
