As you start running higher-level Pits—especially from level 95 to 110+—the drop rates should significantly improve. Right now, they don’t. The loot system needs serious tuning. Higher risk should come with higher reward.
The Pit system itself is a stale and uninspired endgame. It desperately needs an overhaul—whether that means refreshing the maps, reworking the mechanics, or meaningfully improving the rewards. Players need a real reason to keep pushing. At the moment, there just isn’t one.
Season 8 introduced solid progression during leveling, but once you hit the endgame, everything falls apart. Boss drops are practically nonexistent. Even finding 3- or 4-Greater Affix (GA) items is rare—and when you finally do land a 4 GA item, it’s often completely unusable or unsellable. There’s no real excitement or payoff from the grind (e.g., 4 GA Fields of Crimson, 4 GA Mother’s Embrace, 4 GA Unbroken Chain—I could name more, but I’ll stop there).
Running normal bosses for Belial materials is just as frustrating. You can do 100 boss runs and walk away with only 1 to 6 Belial mats. How is anyone supposed to make meaningful progress without relying on duplicated materials? Realistically, if duping mats weren’t an option, most players wouldn’t get decent gear until the season was nearly over—after weeks of repetitive, unrewarding gameplay.
And what’s the point of hitting Paragon 300 anymore? If it takes over 300 hours of grinding in a season to get there, why not reward that effort with a noticeable power spike or meaningful benefit? Players who commit that kind of time should feel stronger and accomplished—not stuck in stale content.
I want the game to be good and fun, especially as it continues to age. Each season should bring growth and improvement. While there have been a few minor changes, the bigger question remains: is the game actually more fun now than it was in earlier seasons? For many of us, the answer still feels like no.
