Got burnt out on D4 and didn’t complete VoH last season when it launched. I created a new seasonal toon just now and I can’t see the Season 7 quest start in Gea Kul. Do I really need to complete the VoH campaign to play this season questline?
Same situation, never finished the expansion story and now I see no way to do the seasonal quests. I really don’t care enough at this point to go through the expansion campaign, so I’m just done with the game entirely now.
Have to complete the VoH Campaign at least once on any character in order to skip it. At least for now. The original game used to be this way, but they changed it in a future season. The same may happen for VoH down the road, just won’t happen for this season.
You cannot be serious? the campaign was such a SLOG I never finished it either, I dont care about some lion or whatever, esp if it comes after 500 hours of follow neyrelle around. They cannot be THIS stupid? god damn.
This may not be the game for you.
What’s the point of buying VoH, then?
It takes about 3-4 hours to finish the VoH campaign. Not long at all. In fact, I think it was far too short of a campaign. You also don’t see the lion until the last 30 minutes or so. Guess you should have persevered onward a bit more!
I played VOH because I wanted the 95% of the game outside the dumb boring campaign. Its not like we fight any prime evil anyways
Also I was crashing due to blizzard not being able to code the campaign correctly, and every time it crashed I was put back an HOUR or follow neyrelle around, so I quit and played the REST of the game that worked plenty fine.
So yea, I am not impressed.
Guess not, blizzards design decisions are just not smart. Why make barriers this pointless. Why dictate how or why I play?
Because… Blizzard made the game? They aren’t dictating what you play - they are dictating the rules within their game. Don’t like the rules of their game? Play another game!
A bad rule is a bad rule, despite your ball gargling.
This is a good way to get muted/ignored and no further help.
Players can explain the way the game works and the reality of your situation. How you feel about it doesn’t change anything. Arguing how you feel about it, with us, doesn’t change anything. Being rude and insulting will definitely change people’s willingness to give you useful/helpful replies.
Yes very helpful. Help like that can stay silent.
Blizzard has always been like this. Content locked behind a campaign that has to be cleared once.
Much like WoW back in the day. Did the content on foot before flight was unlocked.
They didn’t create VoH for people to skip the campaign… much like they didn’t create Azeroth for people to fly around skipping everything.
Then don’t post on the forums. I gave the answer, you simply dislike the reality.
The reality is - you have to finish the campaign. I’m sorry if that wasn’t communicated clearly upfront, but that’s how it is.
If you skip the cutscenes and everything else the main questline for VoH only takes a few hours. Quicker if you play a meta leveling build.
Lol i cant with this guy man.
Thank you everyone for the reports, if you are unable to start the Season of Witchcraft questline and have not yet beat the Vessel of Hatred main campaign, you need to complete the Vessel of Hatred Prologue before having the option to start the seasonal questline.
This is only for Vessel of Hatred owners who have not yet completed or did not choose to skip the Vessel of Hatred campaign, as both the Prologue for the campaign and Season of Witchcraft storyline begin in Gea Kul.
I assume the issue is that each have their own instance of Gae Kul so they both won’t appear at the same time.
You said you have to complete the Prologue but I’m on Act VII and the Witch to start the Quest still didn’t show for me.
Get to the den, and your good. Just wants the main quest to be off gea kul which will happen once you finish the den
