The game is crashing for me as well since the start of the season, it’s just close the game with Fenris window showing me and Report ID like this: “843E6538-4B6A-4265-A38C-145EC16269F0”. Let’s see if it will be fixed until the end of the season. I won’t even try to play Hardcore and lose my char because of crashes. We are for Weeks with Crashes and don’t see blizzard fixing it on any Patch notes, how is that possible to be so many days without a fix with so many people having those issues ?

Give this a look. The out of memory thing may be referencing Virtual Memory or a Swap File. DTMAce mentions here how to adjust this in Windows.

Fenris crashes every hour

Those Fenris debug error codes are only able to be seen by opening them on your PC in notepad or some other text editor. This is noted by a blue post in this thread: The basics are: Open you Diablo IV installation directory and locate the most recent FenrisDebug file. Same here. My crash rate is insane. Maybe its a new aspect ;). Done so many things to improve. The nvidia rollback thing is not working for me. I have to cross my finger each time im in an Infernal Horde.

Same, consistent Fenrir crashes around every 2hrs like clockwork. If I sign out prior to that, I can keep playing with no crash. Never happened until Season 6 and doesn’t happen for any other game.

ditto. perfect example of the memory leak in game code… I do same - sign out/sign in if I want to make sure some 1+ hour content will not crash.

ps. usage of 20+ GB RAM and 40+ virtual memory is insane for this game… played d3 for years and it was much less demanding.

I’m constantly crashing. Absolutely atrocious. I have 64 GB of ram and D4 is using almost 60GB itself is wild. There has to be some kind of memory leak going on.

I’m crashing anywhere from 10-100 times a day. Sometimes I don’t get through the opening video, sometimes I don’t get to load my character in, sometimes I get all the way to 9/10 horde waves.
I only get one of those Fenris blah blah blah popups like 3 in 4 crashes. Sometimes it just crashes to desktop without prompt.
It annoys me that we waste resources while the game crashes so much and the game devs don’t care. Why get rid of our buffs? Why delete our resources that we used to start events?
Today, I crashed after starting horde and THEY DELETED MY HARDCORE CHARACTER.
I quit.

Yep, I crashed last night at the end of infernal hordes, exactly as you described, 7/8 waves. Lost my HC character. No response on my ticket.

This might be the end for me too. As a longtime HC player, this is the last straw.

Unfortunately, none of us can decipher the codes.

If you really want us to try to find the problem, try posting a copy of the FenrisDebug file from the game folder.

You can use pastebin.com to share it:

• Copy the contents of the file
• Paste into the New paste box on the site
• Change visibility (paste exposure) to your preference
• Give the paste a name
• Click create new paste
• It will give you a webpage as the share
• Copy the URL
