Season 6 is crashing for me!

I keep experiencing crash issues. Ever since I started the new season, the game keeps crashing. Last season, I played with the same settings, and there were no problems. Now, the game crashes randomly, and my PC has even hard reset itself twice. I lowered the texture settings from ultra to high, but that didn’t help either. It crashed during ‘Infernal Hordes,’ and all my progress was lost. I’ve crashed about 13 times so far. I don’t know what to do. This has never happened in any previous seasons.

Is it a “Diablo 4 has run out of memory” error message crash? This started happening to me out of nowhere this season, and I seemed to have fixed it (at least for now) by increasing my paging memory to 32GB.

I’m crashing, freezing, lagging, disconnecting every two minutes. Game unplayable.

I’m constantly crashing too. It’s happening about once every hour and a half. It’s so annoying especially when you just popped opal, potion, and incense and then use a compass. Now you’ve just lost all of it because of a dc.

same here roughly every 2 hours my game crashes.
AMD5900x , 32GBs of RAM not overclocked, and 3070
all my drivers are updated on my PC

Hey there, i also have with the Vessel of Hatred a lot of freezing then my game close and the window appears, that ask me what i have done when the dc happend.
I alsohad one crash with "Diablo has run out of memory " message.

My system :
Intel Core i7 - 127000k
RTX 3080 - 10 gb
64 GB Ram
Direktx 12.0

i luckly didn`t had a total pc crash, but have a friend who has often bluescreens and crashes, he told me that some time Diablo used nearly up all his RAM (32gb)

I have almost the same rig. Same issue.

It only started after season 6 launched and no other games.

I’ve crashed to desktop many times and my computer did a crash/reboot 3 times now.

I updated bios and made sure all other drivers were clean and up-to-date. Tried lowering a bunch of settings, even to low and still the same thing.

Not sure what’s going on but it’s absolutely Diablo.

My game is crashing like crazy since I started the season, sometimes it runs for hours without any crashes, sometimes crashes even before I can skip the intro animation
For me, I’m playing for the addiction, some people who are not that addicted to the game would probably never open the game again, terrible state.
I also experience 2 hard resets as the author state

Same here, 7800X3D and 3080 Ti, have had maybe 5 crashed total in previous 5 seasons and pre-season, now I crash to Desktop every hour and a half pretty much no matter the activity. Glad I don’t play hardcore.

maybe 1 of ten crashes it takes me back to what i was doing on restart, usually not.

latest patch did not help.

guessing memory leak as it progressively takes more and more RAM…using over 17 gigs now when it starts it’s only at 9.

Try turning off cross party, cross party talk and music. I left a post under my name for the reason. It is a data leak due to layering.

My game constantly crashes.

I’ve got a 3080ti, 64gb RAM and an AMD 5800x3D processor.

Its getting really depressing. I’m enjoying the season but it gets to the point where I’m no longer doing nightmare dungeons or infernal hordes because I lose progress whenever it crashes and every session ends with a crash, its just a matter of time.

This is still an issue as of 18/10/24.

The crash does happen after a bit of time so maybe it is some kind of cumulative error.

I disconnect 2 out of every 3 dungeons. All drivers are updated. I’ve tried playing in windowed mode and have cross-play turned off. Unplayable at this point.

Laptop - i7 13700HX - 2.1ghz
32gb ram
GE Force RTX 4070

No issues showing in event viewer.

Update: Just jumped in a dungeon and disconnected within 15 seconds. Latency was under 75 and FPS was 100. Seems like the server just doesn’t want me to play.

I keep crashing over and over again randomly and it is setting my progress back

Same here. Just lost my HC character because of it. Doubt they will offer to restore him.

The latest patch did not fix any of the crashing issues. I feel it even got worse. I used to get Fenris crashes, now i get Fenris crashes and the occasional black screen forcing a full PC reboot. I’m lucky to get 1 hour of gameplay.

I read all the threads and tried everything people suggested as work around to no avail. Running on the latest drivers, updated BIOS, turned off cross play, RT, DLSS, lowered settings, etc. It’s beyond infuriating at this point considering I had 0 crashes S1-S5.
