Season 5 why... and how

  1. We’ve tested PTR, 2 PTRs actually (ss4 and ss5) and we know those bad things in PTR will go straight to the real season with worse changes. Do you know the story of Fractured Winterglass?

Another one… Great. Whelp I dont like repeating myself but i lets try that one for one time:

  1. Speak for yourself, its a great character trait.
  2. Yeah i know the story. It was heavily overtuned, was bad for performance and the player couldnt see anything. Tuning this unique and its properties down was the absolute right call. Just like Dust Devils.

But i guess… you will find another way to make your “arguments” work sooo… yeah. You do you.

does OP have some final season 5 patch notes noone else has?

That’s not the full story of Fractured Winterglass. Have you played sorcerer in both ss3 and ss4?

Every season, since beta, and cleared all available content with many different builds (except Pit above 110. Without perma Flameshield) Think i made like… Around 23 Sorcs in total.

But hey, tell me the so called full story of the fractured winterglass. I am so interested!

Its funny how many of those people can see the future, and yet - they need streamers to make the builds for them  oh the irony.

They first fixed the Fractured Winterglass by changing the second paragraph from “Conjuration has a chance to launch Frozen Orb” to “Lucky hit: Conjuration has a chance to launch Frozen Orb”.

But this amulet was still powerful. So, they cut down sorc’s whole damage calculation by half. I have recorded a clip of my Ice Shards build in ss3 which each shard crit around 1.3m but in ss4 with the same build it crit just 600k.

Players: uniques are bad rn, please fix

Also players: I don’t want to farm them when they are good.

You clearly missed the point in the balancing. They made a nerf to not necessary thing like shadowblight passive on necro and hellbent commander on necro.

They are not even aware what they nerf. The thing that makes shadowblight good is Ebonpiecer Amulet, and they nerf the passive which have nothing to do with it. It should be the amulet if anything. This alone hurt almost all necromancer build also those that are weak to begin with. Necro lost around 70% damage with this change alone.

And hellbent commander is a joke to nerf. Necromancers skeletons do not do any damage, it’s only the golem. So nerf that hurts summons that are already bad to begin with. The only way mages work are with shadowblight passive which they have destroyed. So call it cry if you will, but necro is almost on pair with sorc now in most build. Minions necro is not worth doing next season unless use spam golem.

They should rather nerf the golem and double the skeleton damage, so that they are actual useful, so you could actually have a build without golem. I do not see this as crying but a try to explain that they have no idea what they nerf, they just nerf stuff that is not even causing overpowered builds. They are so out of touch with their own game.

With all the new loot hunting this will require, this should probably be called Loot Reborn 3.0, but it will realistically be Loot Reborn 3.1, with constant new items to re-farm. That insanely powerful 3 GA item will probably sooner than later be worth squat.

I don’t mind eventually needing to re-farm items, but this new season will require massive re-farming due to a quick devaluation of the powerful items we had. Yeah they needed to redo uniques, but this wrecks the work done to get items in season 4.

Its really funny of you to write that  Because as far as i know - they know what they will nerf and buff. They know the season content for the upcoming season, and if that stuff gives buffs to certain stats. and keynodes. and skills. And uniques. The list goes on and on, yet here you are… trying to convince me, that YOU know that they dont know what they are doing. yet - you dont have any clue as to what they are doing because you dont have any idea what else there will be. ANd even if that nerf hits too hard and its destroying the necro ect, how would you know right now?

Too complicated?
Still not convinced that the people should just wait and see before they judge what is allegedly right or wrong in their “vision” for the game?

The only two solutions to your problems are: A refund, and a handkerchief.

I know because of history of what they do. We can argue who knows best, I can say the same about you, you do also not have a clue what is going to happen.
And I do not understand the refund and the other thing you wrote whatever that is.
I did not say I do not want to play the game, I just said i skip season 5. The history tells that the uneven seasons sucks, so that is not science.
The history also shows that most of it likely will enter the game as usual. I have seen some of the unique items, and also the necro ones, you can even look them up.

None of the new uniques compensate the nerf of the 2 things I said. So it’s still a huge nerf in power. And i still believe they do not know what they do, because then they would have made a nerf to the right stuff instead of the wrong place. On top of nerf to shadowblight they also nerfed the shadowblight aspect also, so a double nerf on the wrong thing.
But I am not here to start an argument, it was you who started, so I just try to explain why I said what I did. And it’s not a crime to give feedback. I do not flame others feedback because it’s often valid. And if I stumble upon one that I feel is not valid, I just do not reply to it “hint”.
But people like you are sadly on most forums, those who do not add anything positive to the community. And get some kind of satisfaction out of make meaningless comments instead of some valid reply. But just enjoy your lust as much as you will, and can always ignore

The fact that you wrote all of that, probably trying to justify your shortsighted way of thinking in any way - ended in a simple “me no read, but here is a time and date”:

“Jul 1, 3024 8:00 am”
Go figure.

You are out of this world for sure, no doubt about that lol.
Also in an other reply above you said i use streamers to make a build.
You just throw comments, assuming you know what i do, but clearly you do not know. Try get some facts right…just a suggestion.

Well in their defense, they are consistent.
They don’t want nerfs, and want to play broken builds that make them seem better at the game than they should be.
Just accept there is a portion of the playerbase that wants a real easy game.

What is a mystery is why Blizzard is taking direction from them only? Do they buy the most cosmetics?

I decided to stay away from the PTR this go round as I wanted to walk into S5 fresh. I am hearing so many mixed things that I am glad I have.
Either way, I am honestly more excited about the expansion than S5. I will still play it no doubt though.

I have a theory on that. There’s a chance Blizzard thinks that since the game is not very fun and it will continue not being very fun in the foreseeable future, it’s better/has less friction for them if the game is super easy instead of them trying to balance it like they did in S1.

They may be thinking, the players will complain anyway since the vast majority is not very happy with the game or left, so might as well give up on the idea of balancing for now.

Just a theory, but if that’s the case, good luck trying to balance this game in the future when players are so accustomed to braindead easy gameplay. Either way, there’s no way back now unless they want to alienate the few players they have now. It’s just not going to happen.

Also, the expansion is around the corner and if we know Blizzard, they love bringing more power to their expansions. It’s going to be completely unhinged in terms of power lvls, just wait for it :joy:

One big problem is that uniques shouldn’t necessarily be these massive power sticks. Sure, have a couple in there, but for the most part they should be tools to enable some variations or combinations of skills or mechanics that aren’t normally possible, or much better than the average rare drop.

The best gear in the game should be significantly rare legendary drops, period. These rare legendary drops should have higher than average ranges for the affixes, and the asspecked should be 10-20% stronger than you can apply and you shouldn’t be able to add that to your book. If it was an asspecked not useful for you, but the stats are, it’s still a win. If the stats are useless and the asspecked is useless for you, trade it. If both are great for you, you won the lottery and it feels like it.

It should be rare enough to where almost no player is fully kitted with these, but every player has at least one in dozens of hours of play (think around 50-100 on average, not hundreds).
