Season 5 why... and how

I want to know how you have managed to turn the great season 4, around 180 degree to this crap we witness at the moment.

I have really enjoyed season 4, and now i have lost all will to even play season 5.
And you sort of go against your loot 2.0 with forcing up to farm unique items to be able to do anything in season 5. It have always been a problem getting the right unique drops, and now you have kinda doubled it with the need of 4 on each build.
And no farming bosses do most of the time not give the right unique. And all the builds beside barb we enjoyed in season 4 is destroyed to oblivion, specially necromancer. All damage over time builds are nuked.

I will skip season 5. Ripping all our power with noting in return, wich you promised we would get. Season of unique hunting is not a compensate for power loss since it comes down to rng even finding those items.

I just wonder how you managed to do this. It’s impressive and sad at the same time.

It’s clear D4 is at this point an “every other season” game. I will also skip season 5. I’ll be ready to go for VoH and season 6.

True, I just went from diablo 4 great, to diablo 4 bad over one night, that’s a impressive deed for sure, but good is another story. I hope season 6 and vessel brings fun back to the game again.

Season 5 hasn’t even started yet…

I wouldn’t really judge season 5 purely on the PTR we just tested. It was definitely too unpolished even for a PTR but there’s plenty of time to polish it up before release. It’s not like they’ve removed the good things from season 4 so you’ll still be able to enjoy that. The temper changes I seen on the PTR will make it feel better for example.

people judging season 5 balancing is always hilarious

And sad at the same time.

Seriously.

1.: Your life doesnt depend on a game. Dont cry about it.

2.: Havent played season 5, so how do you get the idea season 5 is that bad?

While I share some of your frustration, I suggest you wait until the season 5 patch notes are released before deciding whether or not you engage with the season. That’s what I am doing, anyhow (I play sorcs). The actual season 5 patch notes could be quite different than the PTR patch notes. Just sayin’.

Yep. They said they would never do that again after the last backlash. I didn’t believe them then and now they will prove me right.

No one said our life depended on it. If my life depended on something, D4 forum is the last place I would be typing stuff at.

Criticism does not always mean that people are crying.

PTR sucks. PTR is for testing but it also serves as a preview of what is about to come. Does it really surprise you that much that people will naturally expect the actual season will suck based on the state of PTR?

If you are optimistic, that’s fine. You are entitled to your own opinion. But why ridicule those who are ‘t as optimistic as you and are voicing their concern?

Ptr wasn’t great but s5 still has hope. I’m not too optimistic about the new horde mode but even that might be fun by season launch.

The nerfing will continue until morale improves.

It already looks cooked ngl. I understand that most of the little annoyances will be worked out before release but fundamentally the systems were implemented in the laziest way possible.

  1. Why are the perks after each wave of infernal horde completely uninspired and unable to augment/improve/spice up the gameplay?

  2. Why does the greater chest cost 250 burning essence when with a twice upgraded compass (7-8 waves) you don’t even approach 200 no matter what you pick after each wave? Nobody in QA played a single round of it before releasing it for testing?

Also, this is the same team who was in charge of seasons 1 & 3. For how long was s3 nearly unplayable from an endgame pov at the start again?

I would at least wait and see the updated patch notes. They got quite a bit done in s4 between PTR and patch.

I agree with you on your two points, don’t really give a :poop: which team is responsible for which season.

But I’m going to withhold final judgement until S5 is actually released.

Have you actually read some of the comments on these forums about how life isn’t worth living anymore because of a change in the game
the way some people carryon over a game you would think that it is a life or death situation over a GAME that doesn’t mean anything

I call it crying when there is a change and even though they can still make mincemeat out of everything because they are doing a couple of points less damage all hell breaks lose and it’s not fair

You seem to take their posts way too seriously and literally. It’s just a game forum. Don’t need to cry over other people complaining about a game.

OK then

and you are loosing it because I said something in it

well if the game is that bad that they are complaining about it, why don’t they have the sense to leave and play something they like instead of sitting in the forums whining because they can’t get their way

I don’t like Lost Ark, you know what I don’t do?
sit in the Lost ark forums complaining about it all day and do nothing else

I think I’ve stopped crying now because I don’t agree with what other people say

Original complaint I’m indifferent about aside, I think what I wonder is:

How many bad, half baked, blatant engagement metric and money grabbing driven decisions/seasons it will take for this company to make before the individuals that rush to its’ defense say “oh wait, now I get it”?

Again, I’m not saying that the nerf complaints are warranted, but if after a year of this nonsense, especially the joke that was the “S5 PTR” you think the game deserves your support/and or you still feel the incessant need to blindly defend it you’re absolutely part of the problem.

Oh well, I’ll probably never find out, but it is comical to see people casually dismiss people not happy about the state of a product they bought as nothing more than “crybabies” while Blizz laughs all the way to the bank.

Can you stop crying cause of powerloss. This game is already 99% braindead cakewalk. Nerfing everyone is the only way to go to a reasonable gameplay experience where numbers are not as big as the distance between earth and jupiter in miles.
