I would like to share my thoughts with the developers on a few skills that feel lackluster and could see improvement for Season 5…
Barbarian
Whirlwind - abysmal damage and hits per second too low and struggles to fight bosses (skill should benefit from attack speed). It’s an iconic skill that needs a return to its former glory
Druid
Ravens - what’s needed here is improving either the passive ability of the skill and/or lucky hit chance to help with companion build as it is struggling
Sorcerer
Chain Lightning - fun starter build, but lacks clearing ability and falls short in killing a bunch of weaker enemies
Rogue
Flurry - easy-to-play melee variant that’s great for leveling, but feels rubbish in damage in higher nightmare dungeons
Necromancer
Blood Lance - fun build, but a noticeable weakness is capping attack speed and functionality of skill requires too many aspects
I was so hyped at start of this season seeing Hydra damage tempering shame even when on all items Hydra deals absolutely no damage at all and takes all 3 of them a long while to wear down a boss target dummy. Shame they disn’t get the same modifier type as bash.
well so far there have been adjustments in every season. Just to get the straight tho, this wont lead to balanced builds. You buff this, nerf that, and bam, you got a new meta
True, but I’m always a fan of taking the worst contenders for skills (Tier D/F) and atleast move them to C Tier, but preferably B Tier. This way the gap between the best skills and worst skills for a given class is not a large disparity. This promotes more build diversity.
I’m playing an offmeta pulverize druid this season and this isn’t needed.
You just need one aspect (shockwave), that increases Pulverize dmg by 50% AND increases its aoe to be about a screen and a half. You can seriously play AOE RANGE with that aspect. Its fun.
You hit everything on the screen and then some. Otherwise just temper into pulverize size.
That temper and aspect are there to do what you are requesting.
That’s fair. Maybe instead of buffing Pulverize, what about improving lucky hit rate on Ravens by a fair margin to help push the companion build into a strong end game competitor?
If ravens could proc pack leader more reliably on small monster packs, it could help ramp up damage better. Just a thought?
