I skipped season 3. Reading notes lots of good changes. But couldnt find an answer to the biggest question. To have a chance at an uber, do i still have to run the same guy over and over ?
Uncommon uniques are fomo. They are not required of build defining.
If its any consolidation a shako is no longer a shako because you can get a better one. If you’re scared if repetitive gameplay an arpg may not be the best genra for you

Was it genuine tho? The entire purpose of an arpg is to grind repetitive content.
I just highlighted they arnt needed and arpgs are about grinding

There’s a slightly increased chance to get ubers from all activities. Andariel has been added with the same loot table as Duriel. The other ladder bosses also have a lesser chance to drop ubers.

I don’t think you know what bigoted means. Don’t try to lessen the meaning of a known word by assigning it to your dislike of a reply.
And to further the discussion, the OP specifically mentioned doing the same thing over and over. Thus a reasonable reply is to say yes but you don’t need to worry about missing out due to FOMO. Which is exactly said by the other poster you’re overreacting to.
As for not liking the repetitive grind, it’s also reasonable to suggest a player not invest their time into doing something they appear not to like. Which is also what the commenter said before you overreacted.
To continue from the prior post that apparently triggered you: yeah there’s a grind to it but don’t worry if you don’t want to do it because there’s new changes that make them less valuable. If you absolutely must have the items but don’t like the grind the only thing I can say is maybe you should continue playing whatever you already said was taking your time when you skipped S3.

Ubers in S4 can drop from enemies lv 55+, and probably chests in the similar or higher brackets.
Duriel and Andariel will have the highest chances.
Other Echo Bosses can now drop them, but I doubt they will be similar to Duriel/Andariel.
As others have stated - you don’t have to run any of them for Ubers, and you don’t absolutely need them. I cleared all content in S3 (including Uber Lilith) without a single one on 4 characters. They are there if you want them though!

ive been done on my s3 char for a while… solod uber lilith, season title, etc. just running duriel pretty much a few times a day and still waiting on a shako so join the club -_-
did another couple dozen runs today and got nothing, ready for new season at this point.
i can understand the drops rates being low when farming bosses in d2 as u just tele to meph or andy in 15 seconds and kill them in 5 but its such a chore to farm the duriel mats he should at least have like a 10% chance to drop a spark

yes, in ARPGs you have to do contents multiple times for a chance on items.

I got 3 in S3 but I never got the ring. All I wanted was the ring… S2 I got 6 rings haha.
But items were rare. As of right now sigons have a lower drop rate than a shako. Im all for removing mats but Id expect ubers to actually be rare items like in D2.
I believe the biggest issue is they are so common it creates a high level of FOMO/entitlement. Ubers were supposed to be “rare but youll know someone who has 1” and it turned out to be I dont know anyone without multiples.

Yes, the most efficient way is still run Duriel few hundred times. But you also can run on Andariel until you are bore of her.
You can get Uber from other sources like Varshan, Grigoire, Lord zir and beast of ice, but the drop rate will be much lower so you need to run them at least double of amount you did on Duriel. I can imagine doing Rota on Grigoire and Beast of Ice is much boring activities. For me getting Boss material isn’t the most boring part as we need to do those activities for crafting material, the rota is the worst as it just so boring to kill the same guys over and over and wait your jerk team mate leave the dungeon to reset it.
Doesn’t lvl 200 versions have the same drop rate as Duriel and Andy?
