Reading some of the comments here truly destroys my faith in humanity. How do people mentally survive these forums?
Not sure why some people complaining so hard about “robots”. Zoltun Kulle’s Death Golem looks sweet to me.
Also to people complaining there’s not enough hell because robots: well we have a game full of cultists and cannibals, I think ONE season will be fine. The entire tone of the game isn’t going out the window because one season of “robots”. It could be a slippery slope but it could also not be.
With how hardcore some of the vanilla cutscenes are I really am not worried that the game’s tone is going out the window because of one season.
exactly this. I mean just have a look about how many times people keep posting the same thread lol. Sometimes it feels like some people just want to have a hate train going.
That comment is a cliche in some sense, bvery time I return to these forums (which is rare) it seems these places haven’t changed a bit: mostly a sewage point that a bunch of man children with comments so absurdly infantile that it makes me sick because I have to remember that people like this exist

also, the concept of “people never being pleased” isn’t exactly new, but people are so anal about Diablo 4 being dark, and you seem like one of these special people. What exactly do YOU want? I’ll listen but I doubt you’ll make any sense
edit again: If you’re implying that I’m “shaming” people then that’s just you being sensitive I think. I gave my honest opinion and just as expected I get swarmed but a bunch of angsty, non-sensical comments from people looking for some pot to stir like yourself
I agree with you. Game still suffer with lots of problems, whole S3 looks so far pretty underwhelming but main concern at forum right now is skin of your compaing.

I’m not certain why you are asking me this. Generally, I am pleased with the game. I just have no interest in the themes of the upcoming season. Perhaps I will change my mind once I have engaged with it, perhaps not.

when you’re someone that played diablo and understand how perfect the theme of the game was and how much potential it has to be redone with intelligent additions you can’t help but be terribly disappointed by the addition of robots. if you’re new to the games then you might not care if it becomes another mish-mash trash game that has everything imaginable in it which completely ruins the theme and feel of the game. some of us consider diablo the best arpg ever made and it was largely because the theme, music and feel were all so perfectly meshed that it felt like a perfect game. when we add robots and pink gorillas it’s not gonna be a game that’s diablo anymore. it’s gonna be devs trying to add content and having no idea what to add so they just agree on robots.
Thank you for the post. I will admit I wasn’t a huge D2 player but I’ve played all the Diablos, (except Immortal) but I haven’t beat Diablo 1.
But I don’t understand. People type comments like this: “the game/music/feel in Diablo 2 was perfect” etc etc
I am not downing on D2, I think it is a great game and I fully appreciate people’s passion for that game.
In the context of Diablo’s “tone” - what exactly about D4 don’t you find correct? This is one of the most disturbing games I’ve ever played (queue someone else topping this, I don’t care) and I just don’t see the rationale when people say D4’s tone is off.
We have cannibals, insane cultists, obelisks made of blood, black sacrifical daggers, rituals…like WHAT? Now, I haven’t played D2 in years, but from what I can remember all of this stuff was in D2 (but more hidden/implied rather than overtly showing) but maybe because of graphics/censorship limitations they really didn’t SHOW it
D4 has Elias and…enough said.
Someone correct me now because otherwise I will have to come to the conclusion that mass populations of people are delusional. OR, I am delusional. I’d prefer the latter because that way I will might actually know if I correct or not
i think d4 is great. i just think them adding robots is a terrible design choice. i also think diablo needs to be in the game. lazy design ruins great games and i don’t want that to happen to my favorite arpg.
