Season 3 - It highlights how weak Pets and Pet AI are

For a season where it is all about a pet and power created through it, not to mention the common complaints of pets and their uselessness since the beginning of launch, this season encapsulates just how bad they are. Terrible AI, virtually no power on them, constantly lagged behind, the list goes on.

I genuinely hope this makes the devs understand why pets are a terrible choice not just for necros, but especially for a season theme. At this point, the pet for the season is going to be setup as a dedicated buffbot for situational power increases. Based on what they had in mind, I can’t assume that was the intention.

Getting the runes or whatever ranked up is also going to take far to long. This is a simple fix at least and can be tweaked by numbers.

As a whole, the season is just awful and not fun. Aside from the storyline and boss, the rest of it is hot garbage. Traps aren’t fun, slow, boring concept. Trying to keep stacks in a chaotic environment is simply bad design. The season mechanic of the pet is just not fun AT ALL as opposed to direct player power increases.

Absolutely, and the seasonal pet is supposed to be powerful :rofl:. Seems like they need to be buffed 5x-10x before they might seem powerful.
If the excuse is the same as they have given in the past is they don’t want afk builds then allow us to actively control the pets.

yep, it just goes to show, how terrible the understanding of the devs are when it comes to pets.
they are so afraid of AFK builds, yet they do not consider that pet get:

-Stunned
-feared
-they die
-they have bad AI
-Move slow
-Attack Slow(have attack speed cap)
-mostly single target.
-get melted by AOE attacks.
-get Frozen.
-have Bad Resist And defense
-Requires a lot of investment to keep alive.
-it’s horrible to push higher content early on.
-can not be directed
-and only inherit 30% of player stats.
