Community: “We want more viable builds and we think vulnerability/crit is problematic but we don’t think just nerfing it will help since it’ll just make playing the game painful. Also, we think there’s too much damage going out, which is leading to certain classes being forced to take nothing but defensive skills since they’ll get one-shot otherwise.”
Blizzard: “Okay, well, if EVERY build is absolute garbage and does no damage, then every build is equally viable right? Oh and we’re just going to nerf vulnerable’s numbers(but it will still be mandatory) and not give you any reasonable extra damage to compensate it at all. And we’re nerfing all defensive stats massively.”
Blizzard, I’ll be honest. These past two patches have completely demotivated me from playing. You’ve proven to me that you have no idea how to make this game fun or satisfying. I was originally planning to play at least season 1, but… I have no motivation to do so with how little these patch notes do to actually make more builds fun and viable.
I’ll keep an eye on season 2 to see if you guys manage to right this ship… but for now, I don’t have much hope.

You’re better than me then, you already saw how they’re operating this patch. S2 would simply be the definition of insanity.
Every build isn’t absolute garbage though, that’s the retarded part. There’s builds that can still one shot Uber Lilith and clear NM 100. On the other hands, some builds are barely able to clear NM 60 after the nerfs, who were formerly pushing into the 90s.
Blizzard is seriously so out of touch
Costs me nothing to check the bnet launcher every few weeks for patch notes to see if they do anything good. And I’ve already paid for the game, so might as well keep an eye out to see if things get good. D3 certainly took a few patches to get fun.
You paid for a video game not a bi weekly developer patch note. See where the problem is? You folks are just gone lol. Can’t bring D3 into this, they had a decade of that game to bring something solid in D4 and look at what we got. This toxic positivity movement is ridiculous man.
You don’t understand the definition of toxic positivity and it shows.
I bought the game, played it, and I enjoyed it enough to be satisfied with my purchase. I don’t buy games to play them for years, I buy games to play them for a good, solid ~20-40 hours. I got my time out of D4. I hope I get more down the line, but if I don’t, I got enough value out of my purchase.
At this point, I’m not enjoying the game enough to justify season 1. So I won’t play season 1, I have plenty of other games to play. Me not liking the game right now doesn’t mean I lose access to the game forever… so if they ever make it good, then maybe I’ll get another 10-30 hours of fun out of it… or maybe more if I REALLY enjoy it down the line. But if not, oh well. Its not the end of the world for me to lose interest in a video game - it’d be pretty pathetic of me if I were to spend ages moaning about that.
