I wish these told a bigger over all story or had more lore attached to them and even tied them into achievement like D3 did.
No, they do not impact your gameplay. It’s just a short story about someone that was in the place before you and got themselves killed or whatever the story tells you. The purpose is to make the world feel a bit more alive, you know… the RPG part of the APRG game
It’s just story telling, they had them in D3 all over the place. Small bits of lore, just more backstory to a particular character, or dungeon. Helps the player feel more immersed in the world, that’s all. Feel free to ignore them if you just have no interest though.
