Anyone who played last weeks beta, can you change active skills with the mouses scroll wheel?

Change what is on your bars by scrolling?
That seems like an odd ask.
That’s like asking to have 12 buttons but only 6 visible at a time.
The skills available aren’t some kind of 2nd actionbar like in wow that you can toggle between. They’re inactive until you place them on your bar. If there’s no room, you can’t use it.
Afaik cant bind anything to scroll wheel. Maybe wrong on that, we’ll see tomorrow.
At the moment, no you can’t.
But you can bind your scroll wheel to a key press and bind that key in game.
You need external software for that and it seems that my Logitech G no longer let’s me do that.
All skills not in the active skill bar are innactive. But you can use any skill you have at least 1 point in at any time by putting it in your active bar.
In D2, you could select upto 12 skills and switch them into your active bar at the press of an ‘f’ key, and if you were smart you set your scroll wheel to cycle through your ‘f’ keys so you could scroll through your skills fast. This is what I am asking, can I use my scroll wheel to scroll through my skills into my active skill bar?
Currently, from what I have observed by streamers, to change a skill into your active bar, you have to first open a list of skills, and drag/drop them into your active bar.
Being able to scroll skills into your left or right mouse button would be so much faster and allow you to switch active skills on the fly, while in combat; something you can’t easily do if you have to stop and open your skill list box and drag the desired skill in.
D4 is more like d3 in that respect.
You are limited to 6 abilities and i honestly don’t have a problem with that.
I never played D1 or D2, their graphics were awful by the time i found out about them and I’m a visual gamer mostly, so things that look bad/outdated/old etc… i just generally can’t enjoy, so i don’t really have an opinion on this other than if d2 had that it was part of the design of the game.
D4 doesn’t as part of the design of the game.
If they added it it would break the game design.

I am used to scroll wheel as force move. not being able to bind it made the open beta pretty frustrating for me. diablo 3 i basically only move by flicking my scroll wheel and just moving my mouse. saves a load on hand cramping from to much clicking lol.
You can bind the scroll wheel. You need to uncheck the scroll to zoom box in options and then you can bind it.
