Omg that is awful and sad, say no more bricking and then bricking is go on, and worst now You are going to use more hours of play for the same bad result
They did. But they didn’t ask for it to be gated behind FORCED multiplayer.
I know, reading AND understanding is not for everyone.
that is true… like the peole purchasing an online arpg, that advertised itself as an mmo-lite.
reading AND understanding is sadly nothing many people can do. big <3 from me.
This change just comes off as a bandaid fix on top of a bandaid fix. Tempering is a nugget of a good idea that needs to be refined into something more. This comes off as being implemented with very little thought or consideration.
“Diablo® IV is the ultimate action-RPG experience with endless evil to slaughter, countless abilities to master, nightmarish dungeons, and legendary loot. Embark on the epic campaign solo or with friends, meeting memorable characters through a gripping story in a beautifully dark world, or explore an expansive end game: battle for a top spot on the global Leaderboards in the Gauntlet, fight back the onslaught of Hell in Helltides, master the Forge to create your ultimate weapons, and progress powerful characters, with cross-play and cross-progression on all available platforms.”
That’s how it is advertised. As ultimate action-RPG, NOT MMO-lite.
where are you forced to multiplay reading the d4 base game description?
you said it yourself. reading AND understanding.
They need that artificial content for you to do.
“OMG it’s a raid!”
“Arpg not MMO”
“Forced multiplayer!”
It’s a dungeon that requires TWO people as far as we know… And we get a party finder to find other “solo-only” players that refuse to speak in-game.
That’s exactly the point. It’s NOT. That’s why people hate items being gated behind multiplayer. Thanks for proving my point ![]()
I guess you never do WB either then?
And that you immediately disconnect as soon as you cross paths with any other player in Helltides?
You are already playing multiplayer… This changes exactly nothing.
great that there arent such items.
words have meanings. learn them.
Oh Lord. Is this really so hard to understand?
I never said I do not play multiplayer content. I do, of course.
But still I hate the idea of items being exclusively gated behind it because I want solo players to have fun, too.
It does. WBs don’t drop anythig you can’t get solo somewhere else easily. In fact the WB is only interesting for the season journey anymore.
again, there are none.
Just another thing to look for.
Let me guess - they’ll go in the consumables tab, and won’t stack with each other.

We have been told that the tempered scrolls will also drop in every other content.
You decide to focus on “items are locked behind multiplayer”, but as far as we are told that is just false. WB kills are already locked behind multiplayer, but it doesn’t count apparently for you because there are no items along with it…
How do you get your WB caches by the way? ![]()
There is a new dungeon that requires ONE additional player. That is less multiplayer than WB or any overworld content, and as far as we know nothing is gated behind. You just want to whine for no reason it seems.
Yep, I got Andarial’s Visage in s4 from a rando Elite T80 NMD… so, the chance is small but they do drop.
There’s nothing you can get from World Bosses that doesn’t drop in good supply from other sources, and I am including prisms - for the amount you need, as long as you aren’t skipping other content, you should get plenty.
Running into another player in Helltides or the like doesn’t change that everything in them is soloable - just because someone walked in, hit something you were fighting, and walked away - doesn’t make it not soloable.
You are confusing “multiplayer optional” and “multiplayer required.”
Now that we know the scrolls come from other sources, great. But it’s still gated content in an otherwise pick up and play, drop in drop out game. The examples you gave you don’t even need to group to play with other people in.
Then you are confusing “multiplayer” and “co-op” I guess ^^
Again, that is less “gated behind multiplayer” than WB, even if you just consider the number of players and the ease of finding people. There is a party finder if you don’t already play with friends or clans, and you only need ONE additional player.
As far as we now, nothing drops from that upcoming dungeon that doesn’t drop anywhere else either, making your whole point to argue for no reason.
There is no “multiplayer optional” or “required”, as soon as you launch the game you are already in a multiplayer world…
Just as that other one, you just chose to argue about something you already have done each time you played.
I played solo selffound this season and got 4 Uber uniques now. And 3 sparks as well ![]()
I’m not buying this expansion tho with forced grouping. There is a big difference when the developer creates content for both solo and grouping - and when it turns into partly Group only content. That’s just not worth 40 dollars to me.
