Scroll of Escape was confirmed as DC protection

I think this should had been part of the launch event…But Devs just mentioned that Scroll of Escape will be the DC protection in future iterations…

I´d wait for that and try HC again…sad this wasn’t part of the launch event.

I don’t hear the season but it’s progress…I´d just wait for that to engage on HC mode again, because Devs also mentioned that some hotfixes didn’t required server maintainance but it could cause some Hiccups for some players…I´d prefer a maintainance without servers available instead of those possible DCs, Also, each hotfix notes has the same “Further stability and improvements”, so right now is a gamble against the game and external factors to reach 100.

I feel like it was a massive lack of respect toward hardcore players to just trow a rare drop scroll as we wont fix this until S2 … and its a rare drop scroll i missed the point in how rare will it be.

For me the lack of respect is using hotfixes that could cause “hiccups” instead of doing maintenance with servers down.

For the love of goodness please blazzard, make d/c’s in town not trigger them. the foresight on this is needed

edit:
I d/c’d in town so much thats why I worry

Why do you dc in town? D: Actually you’re lucky that your DCs are in town instead of instance or open world.

I don’t know for sure but I feel like its because I have t he attention of a squirrel and will sit in town for a long time, but I dunno

I don’t think afk dcs will count for this…

Many dedicated players, including myself, have expressed significant concerns regarding the current lack of player disconnect protection in the hardcore version of Diablo 4. It is unequivocally agreed that the hardcore mode provides the most immersive and thrilling experience within the game. However, the absence of disconnect protection is disheartening, given the significant time and effort invested in developing characters, which could be permanently lost due to uncontrollable factors such as server or internet instability.

Initial implementation of disconnect protection at the game’s launch was warmly welcomed by the player base, leading to confusion and disappointment when it was subsequently removed. This alteration in the gameplay not only detracts from the overall user experience but also raises questions about the decision-making process involved in the development of Diablo 4.

For a game as prestigious as Diablo 4, it is essential that player-centric features, such as disconnect protection, are implemented promptly. Such features are not merely a luxury but a fundamental requirement for maintaining player engagement and satisfaction. Postponing this critical feature may inadvertently yield undesirable consequences, such as a decline in player base or negative comparison with upcoming games in the genre that prioritize player experience.
