Scroll of escape disabled for some battles

I was doing the By Three They Come Side Quest and in the last boss fight I started to glitch. I tried to use my scroll of escape from my wheel and it was disabled. Luckily I was able to win that fight even with weird lag issues.

But my question is has anyone also found other battles where the scroll of escape is disabled?

The only time I have experienced it being disabled is when I was crowd controlled.

The glitching / lagging is probably why it was “disabled” for you.

I never yet encountered a (regular) situation where it didn’t work instantly.

Same here, so I use topaz on all my armor.
