So their idea is that if you have one of these in your inventory, and you happen to DC due to any cause, the game will use this automatically and get you to safety. Of course, you can still use these manually.
I don’t know what you mean by bugged, I use them all the time. They take you back to Kyovashad and you can use them during combat. And whether there is a need or not isn’t relevant to this topic. I’m giving you the facts, not my opinion.
I don’t think you understand what I said. “They are working on making them use automatically when you DC” that means that right now, it doesn’t just do it. And if you DC, of course using the item isn’t going to work. I don’t see the bug… And why would u alt F4 in HC that’s gonna kill u automatically.
Yep. During the campfire though the Devs said they were adding the disconnect functionality. I was confused too because I thought they already worked that way.
Like I have said, twice now, it used to work in beta. It no longer works. That isn’t “a feature that hasn’t been implemented” - it seems like, at least at one point in time, it was implemented.
Yeah, it was a feature they tested in the test version of the game. And it didn’t work how they wanted it to, so they didn’t release it in the full version until they can get it to work the way it’s supposed to.
This happens all the time. I’m not sure why you’re so baffled by the concept of testing features in a test build of the game.
Well I’m “baffled” because, as far as I’m aware (correct me if I’m wrong), they haven’t once commented on this until very recently. It seems strange that you would have a life-saving feature exist within the beta, and then just randomly remove it with no warning, and not even once comment on it for over 2 weeks after release
I mean, if you honestly believe that everything in a beta is exactly the same as it is in full release, then it seems like you just don’t understand what a beta test is.
No, we believe you. It’s just that it worked that way in the Beta and we didn’t know that functionality was removed. I watched the campfire stream and was surprised to hear it.
Now that I think about it, it worked in the Beta but people were complaining about it in the Slam. I’ll bet it changed between the two tests and no one really realized it.
I never said anything about using it manually bud. In that very video, it is used automatically upon alt + f4ing. It worked like that in the beta
Stop being intentionally obtuse. What I said was that if you add a life-saving feature to a game, and show it working within a beta, it seems pretty logical that you would then tell people that you’re going to entirely remove said feature upon release of the game due to it not working how you intended for it to
This won’t be in the shop. That would equate to player power by reason of preserving a character that would otherwise have potentially died bypaying money to buy the material used to save said character. These are meant to be rare drops such that you save them for when absolutely needed. They are not meant to be bought and sold as a commodity.
You realize this is Blizzard we’re talking about? Rod spent the first five minutes talking about smores cookies from Target. They’re disconnected AF.
