Turn on Vsync. Some points in some towns I get a slight tear also.
Vsync may introduce some input lag but in a game like this it should not matter too much.

Post what pc specs & settings you are running in so we can offer better help.

i using vsync, still screen tear and lag. i am using amd 6600 gpu 1080p.

Maybe, you should plug in the LAN cable and not use Wifi. I’ve had this experience a few times before, but it’s gone now…

i am using lan cable now also. still the same.

Sorry to hear that!
If you already used cable, there’s one more thing you can try: Turn off the Cross-Network Play feature because it will show all the players from the other platform at the same time.
But now you will find Diablo 4 quite deserted…

still the same. i am so angry lol.

Support forums and add the relevant information so someone might be able to actually help you…

i am installing ffx now, if the game doesnt have problems, it means diablo 4 game has problems. ffx has no problems, only diablo 4 game has problems.

Is that equivalent to a 2080?? Forgive me I am not as up to date on the AMD GPUs, but if so, at 1080P it should not be having screen tear issues. Out of curiosity what FPS do you get?

Make sure Vid Card and Monitor Drivers are up to date. I am assuming you meet the minimum specs and are installed on a SSD.

I would turn down my settings by 1 tier. If the problem goes away, then turn them back up 1 at a time. You are trying to isolate which setting may be causing this. When it comes back, leave that setting lower. You can also google for performance settings for your video card for D4.

Alternatively you can try turning Vsync off…and then in the NVidia control panel set up a Application Rule (Manage 3D settings/Program settings, Not in the Global Section the next tab you may need to add Diablo or it may be in the drop down) specific setting for VerticalSync to “Fast”. This is how my game is setup, not to use the program controlled Vsync.

Like I said there are some points in town where I will see a slight tear still, when on my Projector (60hz).
In both 4k and 1080P and that just has to do with how much is going on there, usually on the stairs or by the portal, but most everywhere else I don’t see it at all.

On my monitor, I see no tearing, but it is a G-Sync Monitor running at 240hz.
Also on a 3090ti.

i reinstall amd drivers, now the screen tearing and lagging is gone.

Glad you worked it out.

So i guess it wasn’t a Diablo problem after all. Imagine that.

A lot people do not seem to realize all the different variables that effect the games performance. A person’s computer is connecting through the internet to a Diablo server. If there is any issues with your computer than it will of course effect the game.

In a city, between your computer and the Diablo server, a guy in a backhoe severs a fiber optic line by mistake and now your signal is being re-routed. Where previously you had a nice low ping connection it is now being re-routed and is over-loading the new route. You might test your internet connection speed but it is unlikely it will test the route your Diablo data is taking.

Yes; this is all hypothetical but things happen. The internet, like a highway, sometimes becomes congested and your performance will suffer and there is nothing you or Blizzard can do about it except wait for the situation to improve.

I am sure at times the Blizzard servers may suffer from peak traffic but 95% of the time it is your computer, or the internet, that is causing the problem.
